As Donald Trump’s term as president is coming to an end, the changes he has made along with their effects, will be present for many years to come. During his presidency, Trump has negatively impacted many citizens of the United States lives, which is leading to many more problems in our society. Donald Trump has created many negative effects in the United States including harming healthcare, attempting to stop pregnancy prevention, and promoting violent activities throughout the country. After three years in office, Donald Trump has drastically changed the way the United States is running.
According to Planned Parenthood from the article The Trump Administration Wants to Take Away Women’s Rights, Trump Withdrew planned parenthood from the government's Title X Program. The Title X Program is what pays for birth control or any other family planning services. This abortion rule mostly affected low-income women because health care services are no longer provided for them. In fact, it has been proven that Planned Parenthood serves about 1.5 million women under the Title X Program every year. Because of this rule, women will either have to pay more or see a longer wait time. The withdrawal of Planned Parenthood also led to women no longer having reproductive freedom because of the “March for Life” rule. This rule prohibits Planned Parenthood or any other organization that provides abortions to recieve funding under the Title X. All of these Federal Regulations banned the right for doctors to actually give you advice and refer you to an abortion. Furthermore, not only did this rule affect women, but it also interfered with the way doctors care for their patients.
According to Michael Hiltzik from Column: The 10 worst things Trump has done to harm your healthcare, Donald Trump also interfered between the patient-physician relationship. He made a few changes to the family planning program. Because of this, not only did they have to turn down million dollars in federal funding, but they no longer let doctors indicate whos on the list for abortion. This goes against the core values of the medical profession. Doctors are also prohibited from providing their patients with full information about their health care options. This affects many doctors because high-quality medical care relies on honesty and integrity. Since the patients are usually very vulnerable, having and unfiltered conversation with their doctor is very important. Osub Ahmed said, “It’s wrong for politicians to insert themselves into the patient-provider relationship and dictate when, where, and how doctors can interact with their patients,'' he's trying to emphasize how a patient-physician relationship should only be between them two and no one else. In addition, yes everything that Donald Trump did affected many people, but women were the ones who had it the hardest.
It all started with birth control. Donald Trump informed 81 teen pregnancy programs that their grants would end within the following year to start a five year plan. After the second year they started to cut off programs that funded educational outreach. Because of this, over 0 million in annual funding was ended. Donald Trump then explained how he expected pregnancy for teens to increase again. Since he pulled the plug on teen pregnancy prevention, girls now run more risks due to the fact that contraception doesn’t always work. They were left with only one option, abortion. Abortion causes women to run a higher risk of getting breast cancer, being emotionally distressed, or having serious mental health problems such as depression and suicidal ideation. But wait, it gets worse! If something goes wrong, women can have an ongoing unwanted pregnancy or their abortion may be followed by an emergency surgical abortion. Along with these problems, Donald Trump still had the audacity to make protesters angry and influenced them to be violent.
Donald Trump's influence with violent actions first started with violent outbreaks. According to Samira Samaro from The Meta-violence of Trumpism, physical violence became a trait during the election due to all the emotions and intensity driving both campaigns. They started talking about removing illegal immigrants and blocking out Mexicans with the wall. This later led to Trump Rallies which became arenas for pitting supporters against protestors who often threw eggs, spit on people, and even burned Trump merchandise. So much tension was built that some rallies had to be canceled. A 69-year-old woman with an oxygen tank was even punched in the face. Even those who weren't trump supporters were often caught up in aggressive fights or were roughly handled by security. Many protesters were “trying to get anarchist groups to stop destroying property.” Because of this, at least one supporter went home with a broken nose every time. Trump rallies became so constant that they ended up leading to something so much worse.
All the violent eruptions ended up leading to the Rhetorical war. It first started with trump threatening the second amendment protectors. Trump used his words to strengthen fear, hate, and anger. Not only would he threaten people, but he would also influence violence instead of being against it. Trump was so determined to win, that he even promised to pay the legal fees if a supporter ever got caught. His exact words were “If you see someone getting ready to throw tomatoes knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously. OK. Just knock the hell out of them… I promise you, I will pay for your legal fees”. One day after his remark, Doand trump proclaimed that Obama was the “founder of ISIS.” He constantly repeated “He's the founder of ISIS. He's the founder of ISIS. He founded ISIS.” He even stated “I would say the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton.” He sounded so confident, that some people actually believed him. This affected the way people looked at Hillary Clinton. However, Trumps horrible remarks only kept getting worse and worse. Not only did he call Hilary Clinton a murderer, but Trump set up a twisted game of logic.
Hillary Clinton's mismanagement led to the attack in the U.S. Embassy in Libya in 2012, but instead Donald Trump claimed that Hillary Clinton murdered the victims. Unfortunately, Clinton didn't have much to say, so in her first interview she took responsibility for it. “I take responsibility, I'm in charge of the State Department's 60,000-plus people all over the world, 275 posts. The president and the vice president wouldn't be knowledgeable about specific decisions that are made by security professionals. They're the ones who weigh all of the threats and the risks and the needs and make a considered decision,' Clinton said. A professional investigator was investigating what really happened at the U.S. embassy in Libya, where Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed. Clinton was determined to get to the bottom of it, because she wanted to do everything she could to prevent something like this from happening again. She explained how she takes things like this very personal, and getting justice from the person who did it is very important to her.
Not only did Donald Trump negatively affect the U.S. by harming people's healthcare, attempting to stop pregnancy prevention, and promote violent activities throughout the country, but he was also the cause of conflict studies and global violence that went hand in hand way too often. In conclusion, donald trump has drastically changed the United States for the worst through creating laws that have negatively affected many innocent people and their families through the United States.
In conclusion, Donald Trump's presidency has left a significant impact on the United States, marked by changes that will reverberate for years to come. From healthcare policies to reproductive rights and societal tensions, his administration's decisions have sparked controversy and upheaval. The withdrawal of Planned Parenthood from the Title X Program and interference in the patient-physician relationship have particularly affected women's access to healthcare and reproductive freedom. Moreover, Trump's rhetoric and encouragement of violent activities have deepened societal divides and fostered an atmosphere of unrest. Despite the challenges faced, it is imperative for the nation to reflect on these experiences, learn from them, and strive to build a more inclusive and equitable future for all citizens.
