Success cannot be disastrous. There are many examples that show how success cannot be disastrous. One example would be the Revolutionary War. An additional example would be Bill Gates. Finally, Michael Jordan is also a great example of how success cannot be disastrous.

First, the Revolutionary War was a struggling battle; however the thirteen colonies emerged victorious even though they had the inferior military. Even after the war, America continued to have much success. After winning a tough battle the colonies expanded to over fifty states and became one of the richest nations in the world. The small western nation went from towns and colonies to counties, cities, and states. Before people use to ride in horse drawn carriages, however they now ride in fancy Ferraris and Bugattis. Additionally, the artillery improved from greatly. The colonies used swords, muskets, and cannons. However, now America uses machine guns such as M-16s, powerful pistols such as the Desert Eagle, and destructive rocket launchers such as the RPG. Looking at how America advanced in size, transportation, and weaponry; it can easily be claimed that the USA’s success was not disastrous.

Additionally Bill Gates is a great exemplar of how success cannot be disastrous. He is the founder of Microsoft, one of the most profitable corporations ever. Even after initial success Bill Gates did not lead to making disastrous decisions. Instead, he has done many altruistic actions. For example, Mr. Gates and Melinda Gates have found the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This is the largest operated private foundation in the world, having donated multiple billions of dollars to charity. Additionally Microsoft has grown. It went from developing computer software to manufacturing phones such as the Nokia Lumia 900, tablets such as the Microsoft Surface, and mp3 players such as the Zune HD. Since Bill Gates has had even more success after his initial accomplishments; it is easy to say that his success was not devastating.

Finally, Michael Jordan one of the greatest NBA players ever to play, has had much success throughout his life. His greatness even continued after his professional career. Jordan has donated millions of dollars to the Make a Wish Foundation, LIVESTRONG, and the Kids Wish Network. His money was used to improve children’s lives and conduct costly research in cancer. He also bought the Charlotte Bobcats adding to his wealth. After his career Michael Jordan has also launched a successful shoe line, Air-Jordan, enabling him to produce mass amounts of money. Even after his decade in the NBA he has continued to be successful.

In conclusion, success does not lead to disaster. The success from Revolutionary war, Bill Gates’ entrepreneurship, and Michael Jordan’s NBA career continues to prosper every day. The war led to a better nation, Bill Gates makes people’s lives better with every penny he donates, and Michael Jordan still makes profit even after retiring. With voluminous examples that show how success does not lead to disaster, it is logical to say success is not disastrous.
