Fast food places like McDonalds, Burger King and even Taco Bell gain profits and love from many people around the world but most people don’t see the whole picture. The entire framework of the fast food industry relies on capitalism, overworking employees and the idea of playing with the political structure of the government to better the name of these industries in the eyes of basic American consumers.

'Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned'?

First off, because of the development and accomplishment of the cheap food industry, the proprietors of these huge junk food organizations are beginning to think more about power and they're willing to utilize their capacity to command over Congress and their representatives. Schlosser additionally feels that junk food organizations will have unforgiving working conditions, utilize hard work, and abuse government appropriations only for private enterprise. He feels that junk food organization's main objective is to pick up benefit and they're willing to hurt their representatives and consumers only for their benefit.

Another "particularly American way" is that individuals see junk food as speed and efficiency. The cheap food industry utilizes these aspects to help acquire profit and various other benefits since they know this will draw in clients. Americans are beginning to take in the idea that greater is better. Schlosser contends that the junk food industry has numerous insensitive working conditions. He clarifies the uncaring working conditions by demonstrating his experience as he visits a slaughterhouse. As he visits the slaughterhouse, he sees the meat cutters working and how intensive their activity is. Schlosser clarifies the way the meat is cut, "They remain at a table that is chest high, get meat off a transport line, trim away fat, toss meat back on the belt, hurl the pieces onto a transport line above them, and afterward snatch more meat, all in a matter of seconds". The workers in the slaughterhouse do a similar errand tediously for the duration of the day. Not only are the specialists doing similar errands redundantly, they're working in extraordinary temperatures and with disturbing scents of blood and fertilizer. The laborers are also working with sharp blades that give them wounds, for example, slashes. Rehashing a similar movement persistently also gives the specialists back issues, carpal passage disorder, and "trigger finger"(a disorder in which a finger winds up solidified in a styler position).

The author’s use of vivid imagery and examples helps the reader clearly understand the argument Schlosser is trying to convey. Schlosser states that these workers are working under harsh conditions and this can be a valid statement considering he visited a meat packing industry to fully understand the working conditions the meat packers endure on a day to day basis. Schlosser also strengthens his credibility by stating facts he has found, acknowledged or researched about the fast food industry making his argument about meat packing even more valid. Meat packing industries not only have difficult working conditions they also experience conditions, Schlosser mentions this because he tries to continue to strengthen his argument about the type of conditions workers go through.

Fast food industries should take greater steps toward regulating how the drive-thru food industry functions.
