Coming into the 2018/19 National Basketball Association (NBA) season, one of the young lads in the league who got a lot of people looking out to see how impressive he will be on the court was Grayson Allen, a 21st overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft who has been likened to respected ex-baller Bob Sura. For good reasons, Grayson has all it takes to be the best in the league in his own time. He had an impressive high school career and did even better in college. His trippings incidents gave him a nationwide publicity albeit for the wrong reasons, but the young player was quick to put it behind him just in time to dash into the NBA as one of the evolving Shooting guards to watch out for.
Being that his career is still in its infancy, a lot of things are probably not yet known about him, but here we will walk you through his past and catch up with him where he is at the moment.

This was from all 142 games he played out of which he started 97, recording 27. 9 minutes per game. For his prowess, the talented Shooting guard with lots of zest to score points on the court picked up a lot of awards and earned recognition as he played through college. Notably, Grayson Allen became a 2015 NCAA champion with his teammates from Duke, he was named to the First-team All-ACC, Second-team All-American – SN both in 2016 just as he was also named to the Third-team All-ACC in 2018. Though his college career was impressive, Grayson equally smeared a bit of it with some tripping incidents that happened at various times. He tripped Raymond Spalding of Louisville, yelled at a referee, and tripped on Xavier Rathan-Mayes of Florida State University all in February 2016.
Steven Santa of Elon University became his next victim following which he was suspended from his varsity basketball team and subsequently stripped off his captaincy of the team. On his return to the team, Garrison Brooks of North Carolina became his last tripping victim after which he entered the NBA as the 21st overall pick of Utah Jazz on June 21, 2018. As Grayson Allen has found his way into the NBA, he is expected to evolve into one of the most formidable shooting guards in the league if everything goes right for him.
He is the only biological child of his parents (Sherry - mom, a human resource officer, and William Allen - dad, a government contractor) but we know that he had as a friend and brother - Tonan Ferrell whose mum gave up for adoption when he was just 8. Tonan and Grayson were best of friends in school and when Grayson's parents learned of the hardship Tonan was passing through, they thought it best to give a shelter and be a family to their son's best friend. That friendship between the two boys continues till today as evident in Tonan's social media posts showing pictures of himself and his adopted parents in his adopted brother's (Grayson) games. The Duke prodigy has got for himself a belle who goes by the name Bailey Bunnell.
