Harry Styles: a Journey of Music and Inspiration

Introduction

From his first public music audition in 2010 to his first solo world tour that set off in 2017, Harry Styles has come a long way. Before becoming one of the greatest singers in pop history along his band mates in One Direction, Harry worked in a bakery and lived in a small town in England called Holmes Chapel.

Harry Styles' Rise to Fame

Harry was the lead singer in his school band, White Eskimo. Later, at the age of 16, he stole everyone’s heart with his charm and charisma when he first set foot onstage at the reality TV show, X Factor. After many rounds of competition with other contestants on the show, he and four other boys were put together, to form what was going to be the biggest boy band on the planet. They had the sweet taste of success after releasing their first single, What Makes You Beautiful from their debut album, Up All Night. The music video garnered millions of views in just a few days’ time, while the album went on to sell four and a half million copies worldwide in a year.

Solo Career and Achievements of Harry Styles

After a few great years of success, the band announced that they were taking a hiatus in 2015, breaking all their fans’ hearts. Since then, however, all of the band members have had prosperous individual careers. According to some British magazines and online sites, Harry is said to have the most success as well as the biggest fan base. He released his self-titled, debut solo album, Harry Styles, on 12 May 2017. It includes tracks like Sign of the Times, which has got more than 500 million views on YouTube and Sweet Creature which was a favourite among many people. Later in 2017, he walked the red carpet on the premier of his debut film, Dunkirk, which earned a box office of 526.9 million USD. Harry earned many nominations for his role in this movie in various categories. Harry’s fan base, who call themselves Stylers were enthralled when Harry announced he would be doing a world tour which lasted a span of one year. Harry Styles: Live On Tour commenced on 17th September and ended on 14 July, 2018, becoming no. 8 on the list of Top 15 Tours beating artists such as Beyonce and Shawn Mendes and had 89 sold out shows around the world. Harry started his campaign Treat People With Kindness in which his fans donated some amount of money. At the end of his tour, he donated around 1.2 million dollars to charities around the world. He also did awareness campaigns to save water and his fans ended up saving 600 gallons of water. He is known to be one of the kindest and most humble celebs in the Hollywood industry.

Here are the five things I learned from Harry Styles:

• Be yourself, no matter what. You don’t have to change for the world.
• A dream is just a dream until you decide to make it real.
• It is quite easy to give up, but for better results one must work hard.
• Be kind to the world and show a lot of love.
• Most importantly, love and respect yourself because each of us is unique and have our own awesome qualities.

Conclusion

From working as a baker to becoming one of the greatest singers the world will always remember, Harry Styles is a great person and a role model to the young generation of today and, of course, a fashion icon. His fun coloured suits never cease to excite the fans. This multitalented personality has left the world in awe and has persuaded them to work hard, have determination and have faith in themselves.
