Housing in Egypt – a Problem to Be Solved

It’s the problem that surely the life would be better if it is solved, it effects on a lot of things like urban congestion and arid areas, there is kind of relation between them, as studies said there is more than 18 million people lives in Cairo and to be known the number of population in Egypt is 100 million people, statistics proved that Cairo is designed to carry 4 million drivers but in the real life there is approximately 17 million drivers in Cairo what are the reasons that makes a lot of people leaves in Cairo, the presence of services like water, hospitals, employment, houses, transportation and entertainment and all of these are examples for housing, so is the arid areas if there is a lot of places extremely empty, seems like desert and this is a solution for urban congestion, we use housing to fix the problem of urban congestion by making a places have services to fix the problem of arid areas.

The new government studies proved that 500, 000 new houses should be built every year for 5 years to be suitable to the population of Egypt, in 2014 the government signed 40 billion $ agreement with UAE to develop 1 million housing units, the government built 300 thousand housing unit in 2016 and it is believed that 750 thousand housing unit would be built in 2018, that’s beside the 135 thousand housing unit that lives today and from the projects that have been tried by the government there is the new capital city, it is believed that there will be 300 thousand that costs 3. 8 billion $. Housing effects on the life socially and from the forms of life socially the employment, it effects on the percent of poverty in Egypt and the research have proved that 25. 2 % of the population are under the poverty line. Beside that urban congestion effects on public health in Egypt, imagine twenty person leaves in the same flat, it will be hard to give them everything like water, food and medicines, that was example for Egypt, a lot of mouths to feed and a lot of people to heal, that what housing do, build a new hospitals would be better for everyone.

Housing effects in a lot of forms of the life, it effects in our life environmentally, economically and socially. We use recycled alternative materials because it is cheaper, more safety for human’s health by decreasing the remains of people so it effects in the environment, the economical state. But socially it effects on it when there is a lot of people can’t find a job, housing save for them one, so it effect on the employment, building a new houses would be better, for those who can’t find a place to live and lives in the streets, so it will effects on the social state of people.

Also housing answer the lake of safety, a re-search proved that every 1000 house there is 300 houses must be removed because the unsafety of it, today there is more than 600 thousand cases illegal building on agricultural land since 2011. Egypt is in the list of the top 15 most populated countries in the worldThe rate of population increases by 1. 9 million per year, so that we needed housing to keep those people a places to live.
