A thing of beauty is joy forever” said John Keats. Good handwriting at the first instance and on the first impression is a beauty on a page and the reader only experiences joy. Even the writer that writes in good hand feels delighted to see his creation. In a survey in London two exam answer scripts with some answer were sent to an examiner. One was in bad handwriting and the other was in good handwriting. Though the answer was the same but the script with good handwriting was awarded with more marks. This is how the handwriting pleases the reader. A good handwriting is legible and clear to understand. One can easily get to the content with no time. But the bad writing is a headache for the person who has to read it and who has to scratch his head to decipher it.

Students with beautiful handwriting usually get better marks. People with poor handwriting think that they cannot change their handwriting since they are habituated with it. But it is not so. Everyone can change it provided he/she has strong will to improve. Actually one’s attitude and thoughts are also affected by his strokes of writing. By practice everyone can attain the good handwriting. There are certain way and tips to be followed to get beautiful handwriting. Structure of letters should be taken care of that how a letter should be formed. Spacing of letters is also very significant. Size of letters also matters. A letter should not be very big or very small. There should be proper space between words and between sentences. Slanting style is more attractive and impressive.

While writing position of pen and fingers also contribute to a good handwriting. The pen should be held by joining of thumb and two fingers in such a way that tip of the pen is two centimeters from the grip of the fingers. It should not be hold tightly in the paper. It should be in 45 degrees angle while touching the paper. The paper should also be placed at the 60 degrees angle in the front. By following the above technique good and attractive handwriting can be achieved.
