In Game Of Thrones, A Song Of Ice and Fire, by George R. R, Martin. "Force may be degenerate, and supreme force debases completely it's so clear. Incredible men are verging on considered terrible men." So goes the renowned explanation by Lord Acton. Seemingly, there are numerous topics in any work of fiction as protracted and rich as George R. R, Martin's book , A Song of Ice and Fire, which has been viably balanced for TV as Game of Thrones. I would argue that the primary theme is the corrupting influence of Power.

'Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned'?

“Lord Snow wants to take my place now.' He sneered. 'I'd have an easier time teaching a wolf to juggle than you will train this aurochs.''I'll take that wager, Ser Alliser', Jon said. 'I'd love to see the Ghost juggle.”(George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones). George R. R. Martin does not delineate to the Manichean viewpoint of the world. Perhaps, he told about the prospect that awesome a smarts are both present within the individual. With respect to this free thinker’s point of view of mankind, countless characters in Game of Thrones are portrayed by their use and mishandle of power. Power is not repulsive without anyone else rather we make it terrible or extraordinary. As shown by the author, the common of power is direct analyzed by a couple characters in Games of Thrones, and each has a substitute thought on it. Little finger makes the Baconian declaration that "knowledge is force," and Cersei answers, "power is power." .”All power taints, total power defiles completely. I believed that when I began reading this book, however, I don't believe it's generally genuine any longer. Power doesn't generally degenerate. Power can scrub. I accept that is constantly valid about power is that power dependably uncovers”(Robert Caro).

According to Varys, "Power lives where men trust it stay or dwell. It's a trap or a shadow on the divider and of times a little man can cast an expansive shadow." Interestingly, none of the characters straightforwardly make note of the Estonian attestation that power undermines, however I would contend that the defiling impact of force is one of the real topics in amusements of thrones. A man's utilization of social and political power more often than not uncovers the constraints and good limits of an individual. One impediment is the conviction that there is a different arrangement of laws for the individuals who have power and another for the individuals who don't; as is reflected in the conduct of Cersei and Joffrey Lannister specifically. Misuse of force happens when a man's mental issue undermines their ethical standards. This is clear when Theon takes Winterfell he has dependably felt like a deficient outcast because of the conduct of his dad who sent him a ward as discipline for the Greyjoy insubordination. Theon's feeling of shortcoming and shakiness degenerate his acts of power once he is given charge of a boat by his dad. So there is no shortcoming of Theon and it was the power that was utilized wrongly and the results were terrible.

Power delineates constantly both a man's excellencies and his indecencies. Robert Bratheon has unending access to prostitutes, nourishment and drink, and as King he can enjoy his longings more exorbitantly than a man not in a position of power. Joffrey's mental issues shoed themselves as roughness turned outwards against other people who are more vulnerable than himself. So for him, power turns into the way to accomplish self-validation.consequences were terrible.

Ned Stark is another fundamental of the uncommon man who is not enticed or debased by power. The compositions of the French republican writer and government official, Alphonse Marie Louis de Prat de Lamartine incorporates the accompanying quote: "The entire macho thing must be reconsidered. As indicated by my perspective, the Bush organization was feeble, not solid. To take part in an arrangement of torment is a powerless strategy. At last, it supports the terrorists. It undermines our own qualities. It debases our framework. What's more, it doesn't get great intelligence"(Alex Gibney). It is not just the slave or serf who is enhanced by turning out to be free. The expert himself did not increase less in each perspective, for absolute power, debases the best natures. This quote demonstrated that it's the power defiles the bondage and majesty both. In this prison ,both expert and worker’s face and results are most exceedingly worse than imagination

This is to say that an in this world just master is free from the oppression intrinsic in his position when he liberates those subjects under his control, or looks to make them more equivalent with himself. These qualities are delineated in Ned Stark's more controlled utilization of power. Ned tells Robb, "If you would take a man’s life, you owe it to him to look into his eyes and hear his final words. The Lord is the only one who performs all kinds of executions, while we are doing our tasks and forget to die. Great tyranny is that we had to die in exchange of paid blessings from God.".In this quote the author needs to complain that even God can't hear the last expressions of a withering man on the off chance that he hear them out, then he will discharge him and not utilize the force of doing so. Power is to accomplish self-approval as it were. Ned Stark is a true example, who is not enticed or debased by power. "It is not power that ruins, but rather fear. The Trepidation of losing power ruins the individuals who wield it and apprehension of the scourge of power defiles the individuals who are liable to it"(Aung San Suu Kyi).

It's generally remained a riddle that whether power corrupts. On the other hand do the corrupt seek power? Observers have investigated changed perceptions to demonstrate it,"Plato held profound worries about the degenerate seeking after force, however, expressed confidence that genuine scholars would not be awed by the allurements of office"(Socrates). Articulated maybe the most well known cautioning about the hazards of institutional power in his reaction to Pope Pius IX's declaration of ecclesiastical reliability: "All force has a tendency to degenerate," he alerts, "and outright power taints totally" (Dalberg-Acton 1949).

If we study the power in the context of political view we know that the individual is lured for many things and all those factors lead him towards corruption. In all other cases its not the same yield because it has proved in different contexts that other areas having power do not practice or adopt ways of corruption as compared to politicians. Reason is that politicians are bit different than a normal person. Not only slave, but also masters don’t let any chance to misuse the powers and its reality that absolute power corrupts the persons having best nature.

To Summing it up, we can say that being used and mishandle is the main theme of R.R martin a in, song of ice and fire. He needed to show us that power is degenerate for every situation, whether it is small or big. He need to demonstrate that even females when come into force get to be degenerate like man in spite of this they despise doing all such malpractices. Feminism covers both parts of force whether it will be political or it may be close to home. In political side lady can utilize her rights and impact similarly as man can do. If there should be an occurrence of individual side of power, she will have the capacity to settle on her own choices with certainty.
