Master of Nutrition and Dietetics

My education has so far given me the perfect set up to understand, learn, also to focus on solutions and not get de-tracked by challenges. After completing 10th grade with a distinction; which is a milestone for any student studying under the Indian SSC board , I was very sure about choosing Science as the right stream for my further studies as it would be the foundation of my ambitious career.

After 2 years of studying Science, I passed my Higher Secondary Certification program with Average marks. With minimum specialization options, I chose Zoology in my Undergraduate program. My undergraduate coursework at the university was for the duration of 3 years , it focused mainly on Animal Interaction, Laboratory work and Studying about animal habitat. It also gave me various opportunities for interactive extra-curricular activities, which helped me in identifying my strength and weaknesses, which during the tenure was toned and shaped by the teachers and instructors.

After graduation, I decided to explore the field of Sports Nutrition. Sports and its application with nutrition itself fascinated me. As a kid and during my teenage days, I was always occupied with some or the other sports and selecting Sports Nutrition for my Post graduation coursework was a steep learning curve in the real world .

I feel that the next logical destination on my path is the Masters program in your esteemed university. With the knowledge of Sports Nutrition, I feel that it is also very important for me to have knowledge of Clinical Nutrition. The curriculum of your Masters program is similar to that I had studied previously. Yet it is much more challenging and will allow me to develop my abilities further.

I have always dreamt of studying in Australia. It is a beautiful country with a diverse and multicultural population and opportunities for a quality education. Due to the widespread teaching facilities and globally recognized degrees, studying in Australia would be an absolute privilege for any student or researcher. Furthermore, my research has indicated that Australia is welcoming and warm to its international students. Coming from a buzzing city like Mumbai, I feel that the climate and environment in Australia will be compatible with my liking and personality. Moreover, compared to other fast cities it will be less distracting and more conducive to an academic setting.

Once I finish the Post Graduate course, I plan to stay back to the blooming industry of your country and would apply what I will learn in your program to the benefit of the Population I will work with. I expect to have developed a successful career that I can be proud of. My Family have been more than supportive of my decision and Vipul Balsara (Uncle) will be sponsoring my studies in Australia by personal savings.
