The use of technology in education provides students with technology literacy, information literacy, capacity for life-long learning and other skills necessary for the 21st century workplace. Digital technology has entered each process and activity in human life and has also constructed a worldwide communication system. The 'Technology and Human Relationships' essay delves into the intricate dynamics between the advancements of technology and the intricate tapestry of human connections.

Technology is also utilized to create and maintain relationships among people. It is often introduced into a social system with the main intention of making life easier for people. As technology becomes more pervasive in everyday life, the assessment of technology’s presence in relationships and its impact on how humans interact with one another is an important emerging area of study. There are many perspectives on the relationship between technology and human interactions and relationships. It is purported that the integration of technologies in everyday life can have profound effects on human relationships, in both positive and negative ways. More notably, technologies impact on or interfere with how individuals engage in interpersonal relationships, behave within relationships, and project feelings and meanings including displays of emotions and love.

Technology has played a prominent role in the development of various industries; it has changed the banking sector, changed education, changed the agricultural industry, changed the entertainment world, it has restructured many businesses. The impacts of technology cannot be measured because it is still changing the way we do everything. However, technology also has some adverse effects. Some of the positive and negative impacts of technology on our lives are listed below

What Impact Does Technology Make on Different Areas of Life?

On Business

Businesses have use technology to gain the competitive advantage over their competitors. Technology improves services or products, its customers will be impressed and they will become loyal to that business as well as invite more customers through word of mouth. Advanced technology can result in better customer service and production of high-quality products or services. Business can easily communicate to its clients and the information collected is used to improve the services of the business which results in business growth. A business can use technology to recruit and train new employees. This simplifies all process of hiring and it saves time. Even though we use technology to solve operational costs in business and increase productivity, it is quite expensive as well.

On Education

With the help of internet technology, online education has become a strong force in the education sector. Students can now study courses which are provided in other countries without having any boundary limitations. Though technology has made learning so easy and cheap, students get exposed to data which is not approved and many times they just copy and pastes this information they acquire online without any deep research on whether the data is correct. This has increased the level of misinformation and failure of exams

On Society

Technology like automobiles, airplanes, speedboats, electronic trains has made the movement so easy and cheap. With things like mobile phones and internet social Medias, people can connect with each so easily than before. As much as we’re embracing technology in most developed countries, there is a big group left behind and they might not even get close to the way we use technology in the first world. Yes, social networks and text messaging technologies have played a very big role in connecting people more than before, but the number of people who spend time alone is increasing. Because they spend most of their time in the virtual world and give up on getting real friends, which results in loneliness and cyber-sickness.

On Agriculture

With the introduction of genetically engineered crops, farmers’ outputs have increased. These crops are engineered when they can stand harsh conditions as well has survived pests and diseases. They grow very fast and the farmer gets back their return on investment very first. Using chemicals and engineered fertilizers to grow plants faster has worked in the short run, but after a while, the soil losses its natural fertility and the farmer will have to depend on artificial fertilizers which are expensive in the long run.

On Banking

Banks have improved their services by using technology to introduce electronic banking. Customers can use online banking facilities to transfer money or get financial information, they can also use smart cards to withdraw or deposit money into their accounts. As we try to replace cash money with e-cash, we are faced with a problem of losing money very easily. Today so many hackers monitor these electronic file transfers, though most merchants have formulated a trick of encrypting the files. Most of this information is stored on our computers.  However, when you connect to the internet, an experienced hacker can access your computer via your IP and take advantage of all your financial details.

Issues We Are Facing With Technology

There are domains where advancement in technology is undoubtedly a blessing. But it should not be forgotten that this whenever technology is used to solve problems related to the material world, it does so successfully. However, when it comes to problems related to the human nature, it has a way to not deliver.

For example, internet is an extensive platform for communication which can be used to develop contacts and links all over the world. But it does not necessarily provide good quality of communication at human end. It also gave as much of a chance to poor communicators to spread negative influence. This does not mean that the internet is a bad thing, but there are limitations to all technologies.

The categorization of issues related to technology are based on two types of problems. The first one is materialistic problems while the latter can be referred to as human problems.

One popular example being Facebook. Facebook was designed to connect people all across the globe. Isn’t this a human problem that has been solved by technology quite successfully? At first sight, yes it does, but your opinion starts to differ when you start venturing into details. The aim of Facebook is to connect people but ultimately what it does is provide only a platform for easier communication. It fails to actually create a connection between humans. Instead, it has also resulted in the creation of a number of insecurities. People develop cravings for connections and attention easily which results in unproductive usage of the platform. This isn’t a negative critique of Facebook which is in fact a very beneficial platform in many regards, but is just an analysis of the concept that technology is unable to provide adequate solutions for human problems.

Another aspect of this discussion is the determination of advancement in technology as either good or bad. But is it really making the world a better place? Or is it developing a modern-slave trend. The answer to this is that technology just cannot be classified as only good or only bad. It’s quite simple really, whenever technology is used to develop solutions for physical or materialistic problems, it is the best, but whenever the problems are human problems, it becomes bad. That being said, our civilization as it is today, cannot exist without all of the technological advancements. All of the systems which improve the overall lifestyle of the people are a result of breakthroughs and developments in technology. Just because it has negative impacts doesn’t mean technology is not essential for our existence.

The final point here would be that while knowing all the good aspects of technology, it is important to realize that it is not the solution for everything. Improving ourselves as humans is not something technology can do; rather it is something we should take upon ourselves instead of looking for machines to do it for us.”

Conclusion

Technology has made our society make it to the point of ignorance to the fact that there might be a day when our technology does not work and they cannot, at the moment, live without it.  We have grown to rely on our technology to make our lives easier.  If our technology were to go away, our lives would be really tough for a while until everyone learned to live without it.  My solution is that we begin that transition sooner rather than later We have moved towards a more fast-paced society so technology has to be used to keep us moving at the same pace.  This is not necessarily always true, being knowledgeable in basic mathematical principles can help us take shortcuts while calculation longer problems and knowing how to look at a road map to figure out where we are going may actually show us a shorter way to get to our destination.  All these concerns come back together to show that there is a legitimate solution to all of the questions that have been posed about technology becoming the downfall of our society because people are no longer able to practice two of the most prevalent aspects of life from previous generations: basic mathematical skill and navigation with a map.

There are clearly both pros and cons of adolescent technology use. The fact is, it is important for adolescents to learn and understand technology. It's become a part of daily life for all people to use a computer or a cell phone. It is necessary in most situations, especially for when they are older and have jobs. However, technology use must not be excessive. Extreme technological use in adolescents can cause all sorts of problems; socially and physically. It is important for adolescents to understand that yes, technology is an amazing thing; but at the same time, it should not be used all of the time. They should not be overly dependent on it. Adolescents need to learn that sometimes, technology is not the right answer for a situation.

Over the next three decades, assuming business as-usual situations, some of our most intractable problems will gradually worsen and become extremely difficult to handle, causing severe disruptions to life and business. There are many different ways to reduce the impact of big problems. Using advanced technology is the most powerful of these methods, as most big problems are not solvable within reasonable time periods and costs without technology inputs.

The wide variety of technologies and science discoveries produced by humanity has led to the building and development of the civilizations of each age, stimulated economic growth, raised people’s standards of living, encouraged cultural development, and had a tremendous impact on religion, thought, and many other human activities. The impact of science and technology on modern society is broad and wide-ranging, influencing such areas as politics, diplomacy, defense, the economy, medicine, transportation, agriculture, social capital improvement, and many more. The fruits of science and technology fill every corner of our lives.

Science and technology will most likely continue to be regarded by humanity as an invaluable commodity. However, the relationship between science and technology and society is assuming many shapes with the changing times. In the present, squarely addressing the relationship between science and technology and society is an essential challenge to the sound development of science and technology, one which it is important to continue addressing in the future based on historical and civilized perspectives, while also maintaining a deep awareness of the needs of the times.
