Motivation to Study Abroad: My Path to Computer Science

Passion for Computer Science

I am a third-year student pursuing a degree in Computer Science at a well-regarded university. I am writing to express my keen interest in joining the Erasmus + exchange program offered by the university. Firstly, I’ll give you some information about me. My motivation to study abroad and delve deeper into computer science began as early as school age, when one guy came to our school and taught us to transform ideas into small pieces of code. My enthusiasm was in its developing phase, and I took online Stanford courses to grasp the basics of Java programming. This initiative allowed me to write my first programs and significantly enhanced my logical thinking, making it easier for me to handle exact science subjects.

Motivation to Study Abroad

Secondly, I would like to explain my I want to study abroad. Unemployment among young people is one of the most global issue today, it threatens many adults with low skills. Education, training and sport are keys to promote our values and my researches on the West University of Timisoara revealed that it does all above listed activities to broaden my horizon and gives new opportunities to build my future career. Also, I can take unique subjects , which would be useful for my master’s degree are not available in my university. In addition, in the summer I attend international camp, organized by “Red Cross Society”, at the seaside in Georgia. For one week, I had a chance to live with European people and this experience make me eagerly want be an Erasmus+ exchange student in my University. I want to experience students’ life abroad. Furthermore, since I highly value globalization process I have always wanted to have chance to study at prestigious university and acquire valuable knowledge in a multicultural group.

Study Abroad as a Platform for Growth

Thirdly, I will prove why I am an appropriate candidate for this program. After I started studying at the University I worked on several projects either alone or in a team e.g. with five students I did a database project in MySQL, Windows application project in C#, I did several adventure games in Python like “Zork”. Eventually, I have developed good team work and cooperation skills. People around me say that I am hard-working, likable and reliable. I would also add that I am extremely self-motivated and once I set a goal, I do all of my best to achieve it. In my community at the age of 16 I managed to win olympiads in all 6 different subjects. Last but not least, I feel that staying at the West University of Timisoara would be a great platform to create the synergies of my previous knowledge and proficiency I will gain the program.

In conclusion, I hope that I have been able to convince you of my capabilities and my passionate motivation to start studying computer science in Romania. Thanks you for considering my application. I gladly await you response.
