Motivation to Study Abroad: Ibpd Scholarship

Introduction

Why IBDP aims students to be understanding and respectful? IBDP is an international program that aims to transform young and brilliant students into intellectual and sensible young adults by throughout students own interests and goals and educating them in manners, while most of the other school programs just aims for students to pass exams whether they like the it or not. This essay is about one of IBDP aims which is “developing young people with motivation to study abroad who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect” and why this sentence is important to me.

Mission Statement of Study Abroad Program

The IBDP mission statement means that IBDP is not just something that teaches students academic lessons, but it is more than that. It aims that the students who were in the IBDP program will be more open-minded and respectful towards new people and ideas, and they will be multicultural. Also, IBDP statement means that students who were graduated from the program won’t use the knowledge and life-experience just for their universities or jobs, that they will use it in their daily lives and try to teach other people how to become a more understanding and respectful human being so that the world could be a more peaceful place. Being respectful towards another person is not that hard, and it does not require an effort, and IBDP aims young people to embrace their differences instead of mocking others. So developing young people who are intercultural and respectful towards each other is important and changes the world for the better and makes it a more peaceful place.

Motivation to Study Abroad

As for why this sentence is important to me because I believe in equality between women and men, races or religions. And there are lots of criticism for these topics in the world. Everyone, no matter who they are or where are they from, experienced at least one critical comment about their sex, race, or religion in their lifetime. I think the IBDP statement is important because they say that while you are going to learn academic things you will also learn how to become a more decent person. I want to study abroad and I am wary about being criticized because of my ethnicity, but because of this statement, I feel more comfortable, for there are lots of students who are doing IBDP and it means that the chance of me being criticized decreases every day. IBDP is an international program so I think every student who does it is a step towards a more peaceful world. Also, learning about new cultures make our minds more abroad about topics so that we can approach a topic from many different views. It also, make us understand the world and people on it better. Because of that, I think that IBDP will make all international students who are multicultural, and that will help us if we want to study and live in a different country.

Conclusion

To conclude, the statement means that IBDP is not just academic-based, but it also develops students who are multicultural and respectful and will create a better place because of it. A world where people will question the their decisions before judging them quickly. Also, it is an important statement because it means there are people who are trying to educate the younger generation to become more understanding to others and that is the key for a peaceful world.
