Veterans Day is a time to honor all who have served in the United States Armed Forces: those who put their lives on the line and those who paid the ultimate price as well share a bond few others understand. Military service changes people; those who see combat death look upon life differently for the rest of their years. After high school my whole life is going to be impacted by joining the United States Army. Before I know it my near life is going to be changed right in front of my eyes. My parents have given me consent to join the Army but sometimes my mother being a mother always questions me and asks “Are you sure that you want to join the military?” But already my mother knows what I’m going to say. Sometimes I wonder my self am I ready to take on this huge role and if my mother is truly happy with this life changing decision that I’m making? Overall my life is going to change in every aspect and hopefully for the better good.

Eventually, my whole life is going to alter dramatically when I go through with this. But I know within the future I’m not going to regret the option that I made because ever since I was a child I saw all my family members that served at the time and within my own eyes I admired them and wanted to be like them and serve with honor and respect. When I am done serving I’m probably going to know right away that the things and the places that I’ve been and that I had accomplished are what nearly one percent of America has achieved. Friends and family come rapidly within my life and I would have to thank them for being within my life and have always been there for me when I need them the most. I hope the future I’m able to maintain connections with them because it’s astonishing what an impact they had within my life by holding such adequate support. Overall later it’s not going to be just nearly my friends that impact my life but the completion of my service that sets me up for later within my life so I’m able to be fully prepared for all the difficult challenges that wait. Joining the military will change my life in many ways. The military will provide adventure and teach skills along the way. College after the military will be a great thing to go into after my service is over. Not only with the military give me a great experience, but also I’ll be able to get a solid education.

Although a college degree does not guarantee any success in my life,n it should help me to land a stable job after my military career is over. When I get out of the military I’ll be a completely different person. I hope to even love the new person that I come out to become, and I go on to achieve high levels of success. I’m able to start thinking about ways to change my life for the future as well. The military is a huge adventure on its own on many levels. I’ll be able to see many places around the world and meet many new people, but mainly I’ll get to enjoy the outdoors. For me this is a great way to develop a great mindset about the world in general and the things that I see while I’m out in the world are probably going to stick with me for the rest of my life. Over time, the military will completely change my life in a variety of ways. Getting to experience different parts of the world and their cultures are one of the biggest for me, which only a few people are able to do in today’s life. I’ll be able to travel around the world for free and get to do what I enjoy until the end. Finally, the military will give me the biggest sense of accomplishment in reaching my goals. In the end, I have to survive boot camp which is not an easy thing to do for anyone. But also I have to be willing to think about all of the challenges that I’m going to be facing for the rest of my life. Getting through the harsh training and rough physical conditions is tough. Nevertheless, I’m always going to have my family and my old friends as well my new friends that I make on the way to help me get through the bad times. It’s going to be a privilege and an honor to serve my country and the Army. While there I’m probably going to love the majority of it and all the very important information that I learn and also looking forward to my next challenge and hope to carry those important lessons forward on and continue learning in the future.
