My Father: A Beacon of Inspiration

Everyone has a role model in their life to admire and inspire them in making a decision. Whether it can be a parent, superhero, or just someone they look up to, the question of "who is your role model" often brings profound reflections. For me, my role model is my father, who inspired me. He is the one I consistently admire in my life. When I have children, I want to be similar to my father to do for my kids how he takes care of me. He is very knowledgeable, successful, and he has always been by my side to encourage me to be more vital to overcome every difficulty and support any goal I tried to reach. That’s why this role model essay is about my father.

The first thing is my father is knowledgeable. He is as a handyman in my house. If some electronic devices in the home are damaged, he will fix them by himself. Also, my father is a good chef. He always treated me many delicious foods such as Vietnamese food, Thai food, and Chinese food since I could remember.

Moreover, I think he is never exhausted. He seems to work all days and gets only 4 -5 hours of sleep. For example, he always wakes up at 5 AM to do exercise, and then he runs us business, takes me to school, and cooking. He is an excellent example for me to follow in my life. My father is not only knowledgeable, but he is a successful person, too. When I was a child, my father told me his story about how he started his business. He used to go to school and work 10 hours a day. He worked hard and saved money to start his business. As a result, he achieved success, earned his employees’ admiration, and his family is proud of him. Also, he is smart. He has finished and received a pharmacy degree. Besides running his business, he also works in a hospital. I thought my father is super hero. He inspired me to be successful. For instance, when I came to the USA, I almost restarted everything again. I was scared that I could do that, but I thought about how my father got success, which has encouraged me to keep going.

Finally, my father has always been by my side to make sure I overcome difficulties and progress towards my goal. In my memory, my father was the first person to go through my troubles. I remembered a heavy rain day. The roads heavily flooded. I was stuck at elementary school with thunder, dark sky. It scared me a lot. Suddenly, I saw my father was wading into the water to pick me up. That incident made me love him so much. The other one, I am fortunate to have my father to push and help me through the hard times. When I was seven, I found it hard to understand and solve my competition problems. However, my father stayed with me all day to help me figure out my problems. As a result, I passed that competition, which motivated me a lot for my future.

In conclusion, many people have someone to look up to as their model. For me, that is no one else but my father. He is very knowledgeable, successful, and he is a person who has one of the biggest heart I know. If I did not have him in my life, I would not be me today. Someday, I will have children. I hope I can be as great a father to them as my father has been to me.

Granddad: A Lifelong Comrade

My grandfather has been my role model for the majority of my life. My grandfather is 60 years old but he acts like he’s 30. Personally, my best memory of him is when we were on a family holiday to the Canary Islands, where we surprised him and, our now deceased, nana with our presence. He would always make us laugh when we were little with his infamous catchphrase “would ya?” My Grandfather has been there for the entirety of our family, his kindness never ceases to amaze me. It is always an amazement to me his capacity for kindness.

I have known my grandfather since I was born and I’ll remember him for the rest of my life. I will never forget my best memorises with him, like; how he used to scare me every chance he got when I was younger. I’ll especially remember all his jokes and his wacky child-like behaviour and the one thing I’ll never forget is never to trust his cooking. I love spending time with my granddad it’s great because he’s extremely funny and super strange. For example, one time he did the Doctor Who special and dipped a fish finger in custard because he thought it was cheese sauce! Those were the good memories, but I just cannot wait to make more amazing memories with him in the future. I hope one day I can become just like him but with less wrinkles. Hopefully one day I can tell my kids what an amazing and funny man he was and what I aspire to be or at least try to be like.

My grand-dad is who I aspire to be because his is successful, has a brilliant career and also supports his family and among other things, charities. Also he has served 42 years in the navy as an electronic warfare specialist, which means he watched a radar for any threats such as submarines, unknown ships or unidentified boats submarines he was in a couple of wars such as the gulf war in 1990. One day, I want to join the army because my granddad has inspired me to serve my country. I love my country and am very proud of it. Hopefully, in the future, I will start my own family just as he did. I'm aware of all the choices I'll have to make, and while I hope to make many good ones, I understand some might be risky. I might make some mistakes, but I hope not too many. I've always viewed my granddad as a source of inspiration; he embodies the person I aspire to become. His immense pride in his accomplishments is evident. He is undoubtedly a proud man, both for his current actions and his past deeds. He inspires me not just because of his individual achievements, but also for the good he has done for the world, his family, and his country.

My Grand-dad has affected my life in numerous ways. He has always been supportive in everything I do, like when I joined the army cadets, and he goes out of his way to spoil our family at Christmas. When my Nana passed away, we were all deeply saddened, but he helped us find joy again. Although we went through a challenging period, we're doing well now. I seize every opportunity to spend time with him. Throughout my life, he has positively influenced me, especially during our toughest times. I eagerly anticipate the adventures we'll share in the future, such as holidays and BBQs. I hope to pass on the experiences I've had with my granddad to my own children and perhaps even my grandchildren. Although it's impossible to predict the future, I'd consider myself fortunate if I turn out to be even half or a quarter of the man my granddad is today. He has always encouraged me never to give up on my dreams, no matter how crazy or dumb they might seem.

As you can see with no matter of a doubt my grand-dad will be great role model to me and a great role model to anyone who meets him. He is the most funny, interesting guy you will ever meet but the most important thing is he is so supportive of everything you do no matter what except if its a crime or something dumb as hell. My grand-dad has made important decisions in his life i just hope I make the same or better decisions than him. He is an important person in my life because he is family and nothing will ever top the family I have been given.
