Everyone might experience a captivating relationship during adolescence. Normally the relationship we call early love is known as a crush and romantic love relationship between teenagers during adolescence, especially in high school. We also call it puppy love popularly. In the 1920s, American media widely reported the romantic relationship in the modern way between high school teenagers in US. Nowadays, many people especially elder disagree about early love during adolescence. This essay about teenage love states that this experience is benefitial for teens: it brings them new place for learn themselves and other people, develops their social skills and shapes feelings.
First of all, one can study better when we have a partner in romantic relationship in high school. The obvious and most practical improvements are getting inspiration from a partner and to gain greater self-esteem and self-confidence. For example, two of my friends reflected that their romantic relationship promoted their studies by getting more inspiration from each other. One of the reasons is that partners will encourage each other then they become more motivated to study hard. Also, in some occasions they are in competition with their partners. On the other hand, the romantic partners would feel comfortable and confident in situation such as they go out and have lessons together. The feelings actually are that teenagers gain greater self esteem and self confidence from their partners. Also it is because they feel safe and secured to have a partner that gives assurance in study. Therefore, we can be benefit on the journey of the study and exploration by having a romantic partner.
Another advantage of having an early love relationship is that we are able to be more social and independent. In case of the two romantic partners getting along with each other like going travelling together, they would learn to be caring and responsible. Also, they need to communicate gently and responsibly. Young partners will develop a lot from romantic excitement which is combining to create a sense of caring and providing an opportunity for learning to manage strong emotions. Meanwhile, the result of a survey shows 39% of teenagers tend to hide their current relationship instead of telling their parents. That reflects the fact that teenagers tend to be independent during a early romantic relationship, because they feel intimate emotions for a person not part of their own family. They must train to deal with their relationship by themselves. In summary, we also have the chance to learn about skills of social communication.
Except that, personally, those delicate and captivating emotions and feelings we have experienced are also a benefit that should not be ignore. For example, some teenagers in early love relationships may attach their idealization to their partner. The reason why they do that is they seek fulfillment. The facts in a survey shows 55% of teenage lovers feel fulfilled in their relationship. Another valuable and fascinating feeling in early love is closeness. 18% of teenagers choose to set their friends aside when they are going to date. That is because closeness between young partners is extremely unique, more than they have with anyone. The early lovers always feel the part of their couple. Above all, we gain special feelings like fulfillment and closeness in an early relationship or dating.
All in all, the opinion of “Early love relationship is harmful” is not comprehensive. Except that they should not ignore that fact is the advantages of having an early love relationship are much more and more convincing. Therefore, we can find that there are 3 main advantages to have early relationship which are to promote studies, to learn social skills to be independent and to gain special fulfillment. I am here to invoke to every teenagers and their guardians to give up the prejudice of early love. Instead, embrace and enjoy it.
