Nowadays, economic development become faster and faster. With the improvement of development, the entertainment industry has become people’s favorite, among which sports is the most famous in the world. Sports is an exciting word, and some countries are even famous for sports just now. However, the development of sports industry also brings some problems. And I believe it real cause the negative influence.

Money makes people proud and forget what they should do. For example: Basketball and football are well known all over the world. All the top leagues became famous. There is one thing that stands out is the high salary. It’s not just the rise in fame, you can also get a lot of money. This has led to many players to try their best to join the NBA in order to make money. Many of the players did get rich overnight, but the money also had a negative impact on them. A lot of players have changed themselves since they made money. Such as the 76ers’ Iverson, the SuperSonic’s Rain Man Kemp and the Grizzlies’ Parsons all do that. They are basically retired and suddenly broke or they get a big contract and they don’t train very hard.

The reason why it can cause so big influence is that the athlete’s family circumstances. Let us take a deep look at why higher wages have such an impact on players. Firstly, many of the players were born in poor family, many of them can get out of the slums because of the basketball. Secondly, they were so excited when they got their first million-dollar paychecks that many players began to spend their money and did not limit themselves. As soon as they don’t play, they have no source of income. Millions of wages made them infatuated with excessive consumption, which eventually led to go bankruptcy.

In fact, such a high salary is also related to social changes, mainly because the status of sports is much higher than before. Athletes in the past didn’t get so much money like now. As the society have changed and athletes have become more influential, this way to release pressure has become so popular that most people are willing to pay to see the game and buy some presents. This has also led to higher prices for players themselves. In addition, the development of society has made people’s life better, many companies have launched financial products for athletes, and there are fewer cases of players going bankrupt after retirement.

In my opinion, sport is one of the most important things in my daily life. High salaries do have a negative impact on athletes, but it also means that they need to be highly qualified. Athlete can have high salary as they do the hard job that normal people could not do. What’s more, they should focus on their sport instead of the money. Only those who have the power and can regulate themselves strictly can deserve a high salary.
