Nikola Tesla was a generous man who only meant good to the world, but unfortunately in his time he did not have the best financer, yes, the man you are thinking of is J.P. Morgan, the man who had ended Tesla’s career. The fact that Morgan did not have the decency to prove that Tesla was a hard-working man, who had also cared for the unfortunate, and had not agreed with any of Tesla's statements is sickening, sadly in the end there was nothing Tesla could do to get back one of the best bankers in the world. This essay will argue about the fact that Morgan was a selfish, cold hearted man who only cared about money, that Tesla had deserved so much more credit than he received, and that even though Tesla had not been the most successful, he was one of the best inventors in his era.

J.P. Morgan, now that name sounds familiar does it not? Most people know him as a successful banker who had been known all over the world for his tremendous amounts of money made, and how powerful he had been, but the truth is that he had only done his work for the money. He did not care for the well-being of others, only himself and his profit. Sure, he may have helped with the railroads during the early 1900s, but it was never for the good being of the people in his community or even country. In the long run he had cared only about himself and his profits. He had faced much criticism to the eyes of commoners he had too much power and was constantly accused of manipulating the nation's financial system for his own gain. Many people may not want to face that fact, because they support him and his actions, but in the end there is truly no way to change what this man had done during his time in the spotlight. He had only ever bought out small companies, formed a monopoly, which killed small businesses, and was influential with the government. This power was too much for only one man, he had been given too much trust. During that time he tore apart other's lives for the good of himself.

Nikola Tesla, the man who wanted the best for everyone. Tesla was a Serbian American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and futurist who is best known for his contributions to the design of modern alternating current electricity supply system. Tesla went to work on the task, and spent over a year greatly improving Edison's designs and added features of his own. When he went to collect the money owed to him, Edison replied, 'Tesla, you don't understand our American humor.” Tesla then resigned from working for Edison over an argument because he was promised to be paid $25 per week. Tesla discovered principles which led to the development of devices for wireless telegraphy, radar, television, diathermy, X-ray treatments, electrical lighting and remote control weapons. He also designed an endless number of electrical coils and motors for industry. He even predicted the event of the wristwatch radio, the electron microscope and the atom-smashing cyclotron. Tesla was born at the stroke of midnight between July 9th and July 10th, 1856, to Rev. Milutin Tesla and Diouka, his wife, in the village of Smiljan, then in the Austro-Hungarian border province of Lika, now a part of Yugoslavia. As a boy he spent his early years in the agricultural area near the Adriatic Sea and from time to time exhibited early flashes of genius which were to mark his later life.

Many people may argue that Tesla did not even deserve any credit due to what had happened in his past with Thomas Edison, but the truth is he was genuinely even better than Edison. He cared for the well-being of others and did not only do what he did for the cash earnings. Tesla had created many things in his era, but got very little attention and credit or just nothing at all. For example, Tesla was a big help towards the creation of electricity. Well of course, no human invented electricity, but the man who has historically been given credit for leading the world into the electric age is Thomas Edison. In fact, Edison's direct current electric power distribution system is not what's powering your home right now, but rather the much cheaper, more efficient, and more effective alternating current system developed by Tesla. Tesla told Edison that he could redesign his inefficient DC motors and generators. Edison promised Tesla $50,000, if he could accomplish it. Tesla did it, and when he asked about payment, Edison stiffed the immigrant, and retold Tesla, 'Tesla, you don't understand our American humor.' Sadly, Tesla had never gotten what he truly deserved, but his inventions live on to this day.

In conclusion, Nikola Tesla died alone, at the age of 86. He died without children, without a wife, and without anyone by his side. After devoting his entire life to the single-minded purpose of furthering the field of science, one of the most brilliant minds in human history died in a hotel room, his body was found two days later by a maid. Poor and in debt, Tesla had sadly spent his final days living alone, off warm milk and Nabisco crackers. While his genius was recognized during his lifetime, following his death, his name fell into obscurity. He was taken advantage of by those who envied his brilliance. His greatest ideas never came to success due to human greed and ignorance. For decades, others received credit for the inventions that he pioneered, but even though he sadly did not end up getting any credit what so ever his loving and caring memory still lives on to this day.
