Today we live in modernization where technology rises, and it's still innovating. Having technology in our generation we definitely benefited with it especially to ease our works, to communicate and give information in the fastest way. To the contrary technologies also gave disadvantages and bad outcomes in every person who use it too much. In this piece of artwork which is entitled 'Islands' by Pawel Kaczyski the painter greatly illustrates one saying called 'No man is an island'. This essay gives an art review on how technology affect human beings in developing deep relationships and performing actual communication to one another.

It is a satirical illustration that reflect how social media do in human life. Majority of its color is blue which is a color of the ocean that represent stability and steady character. Another colors that present in this artwork are green and yellow that describe nature within a man and women sitting on a cellphone shaped islands while talking on a phone. One more is a dark color symbolizes loneliness of people being in prison by the technology like cellphone that limits our freedom to interact verbal communication.

The artist uses a cellphone as a pattern, and it has a shape of rectangle. We can see it clearly in our first sight of this piece of artwork that impersonate islands, this means that these people were isolated by technology and not brought together. The artist engages a critical undertaking in contemporary life especially in society for the reason of this day's one of the major problem of our association was the addiction of technology. Cellphone was high lightened and created in a thin size because this is a cause why people in the painting or drawing are separated.

As John Donne says' No man is an island meaning all human being depends on one another, people actually communicate every single day. But today this quotes might be mistaken when technology reigned to people, it seems that people tend to waste their time on cellphone, and they limit their self to interact physically and the most hurtful things that instead of we build a good and deep relationship we definitely loosing it by choosing to stay in one place while explore on social media etc. We are virtually connected but away to each other.

In a nutshell, it is not just a piece of artwork which you can sell and put it in a wall but sending us the message that we should always value our relationship to one another and keeping the interconnectedness. These artworks remind us that too much is not healthy. Balancing is one of the way to avoid this kind of problem because if we know how to balance our needs and wants we are aware to our action, and we can develop a deep relationship and have a togetherness.
