Overview of Japanese Anime and It's Popularity

Japanese animation plays an important role in the world with the innovation and interest of plot, and is the world leader in animation culture. And I will introduce what is the different between cartoon and anime; also introduce the type of the anime.

To start with, the word “anime” is based on the unique Japanese pronunciation of the American word “animation.” It is the model of animation in Japan. The Urban dictionary defines it stereotypically as: the anime fashion is characters with proportionally giant eyes and hair types and colors which might be very colourful and exotic. The plots range from very immature (kiddy stuff), through teenage stage, to mature (violence, content, and thick plot). Additionally it is essential to note that American cartoons and Japanese animes are different. The storyline of an anime is more complex while that of a cartoon is simpler. While cartoons are supposed for teenagers, anime, then again, is more intended for the adult viewers.

Anime not only consists of TV shows and movies for children but also for adults as well. Some of the most popular anime blockbuster movies include Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away and Your Name. The anime series is created with a lot of concentration so that the creators can think of implementing interesting characters that will get along the interesting story very well and make the viewers laugh and cry with them.

I will give a example that is Your Lie in April. The story tells the story of the rare talent of high school boys (pianist), and girls (violinist) work together to grow up the story of youth. Ma gongsheng's mother was determined to cultivate him into a world-famous pianist, and he did not live up to his mother's expectations. He won many grand prizes in piano competitions when he was in primary school. Born in the fall of 11 years old, the male's mother died, and since then he could no longer hear his playing the piano, frustrated he'll have to give up playing, but in the age of 14, through the introduction of a childhood playmate, male student met violinist miyazono kaori, and attracted to embalm freedom is bold and unrestrained, dreamed of open invite kaori accompanied as her male living in the game...

So the anime is more and more famous for over the world. And the anime is a main hobby in many country like China and American. The anime also make abundant benefit for Japan. According to the Japanese ministry of economy, another group of related data released in April 2003 to March 2004, the Japanese anime market sales (animation film, animation film and animation TV videos, TV special channel in revenue) of 373.9 billion yen and 213.5 billion yen rose by 160.4 billion than 2002 yen, growth above 75.1%. According to statistics from the Japan institute of publishing science, comic books account for about 40% of all publications in Japan. In 2003, a total of 2227.8 billion yen of books and magazines were sold in Japan.
