The novel Heartache 3 Bad Boy Vibes is the third book of the Heartache Bad Boy Vibes. The book tells us the story of a young girl Anna. She is a teenage college student. As with many university students, she is coming from a broken relationship. Her relationship with Matt hasn't worked out. She is left devastated after the catastrophe and vows not to fall in love again. Anna relationship with her mum was warm. Her mom is her confidante. She is the only child to her mother who treats her like a treasure. She is the person who comforts her in her down moment- after she had been raped by the beastly Matt Preston. On the contrary, Anna who had vowed not to fall in love again find Rafe a charming and charismatic young man irresistible. She is nervous on falling for him at first considering her experiences with Matt. As if fate is playing games with Anna, Rafe is Matt blood brother. Does she fall in love for him? Are his feelings for her justified? Is any connection with the Preston family desirable?
One of the things that marvelled me was the romantic relationship between Anna and Rafe. Their relationship seem yo be propelled by fate. First they are both coming from abusive past and secondly, the persons who took advantage of their situations are accomplices in crime. I found this quite ironical. They want justice. The pursuit of justice results into a series of confrontations between them and their rapists. The confrontations were tensed and I found myself thinking that somebody would get killed whenever there was one.
The author created unbelievable suspense in such scenes. Despite their troubled pasts, Anna and Rafael find time to engage in activities that make them happy. For instance going on bike rides and picnics. That's a good therapy for persons coming from traumatic experiences. I disliked the attitude of Pat's parents. They are too controlling. This is evident by their son's fears in informing them that he is a gay. His parents had arranged his marriage to some unknown girl. I did not know that whites had planned marriages as well. I believed arranged marriage was an African society thing. Moreover, their inability to accept Pat's sex status shows their insensitive character. Yes, you could understand them considering that gayish relationship are not universally acceptable. The least I expect from a parent should be sensitiveness and support for their children in their rightful endeavours.
This book is well documented and proofread. I hardly witnessed any typos or grammar errors. The errors therein were simple punctuation error. I would give the book a rating of 3 out of 4 stars. I gave it such rating because of its excellent character growth. The characters of many Characters improve at the book ending. That is a good piece of moral lesson for the readers. I recommend this book to victims of past abuses or persons suffering from depressions or stress. This book is a good guide and has firsthand experience on handling such situations. It was an excellent novel.
