Fortnite is a game where kids can go online and play with friends it may sound great but there are some downsides like addiction, distraction, and violence. Kids shouldn’t be playing Fortnite they are getting addicted. Others are seeing this game become a huge distraction and addiction in and out of the classroom. “Parents and teachers are worried that this video game is too violent for teenagers” Fortnite is all about trying to be the last player standing. Teens are obsessed with this game and so are people of many ages. People worry that this game is too violent, but others think this game is great due to its comic-book-like style backgrounds. According to actual researched facts, Fortnite is bad for players who are addicted to this game and for players who are addicted to this game.For example, Fortnite is promoting violence, violent video games can increase aggressive behavior in children. Participants played violent games in a lab, while others played non-violent games. Playing these violent games resulted in instant changes in behavior. Violent video games sometimes become desensitized to emotional stimuli like violence can display, lower empathy and higher aggression. “The main purpose is to use weapons to kill other players, kids shouldn’t be subjected to these types of games”.

Aside from that, there are now kids being distracted by Fortnite in school. “Teachers will explain how distracting this game has become in he classroom”Video game addiction is taking place in school it is easy to switch from educational sites to games. Students are losing focus on what’s important in their academic lives. Kids in class are always talking about Fortnite instead of school topics. One Teacher said “Their Kids were playing the game at every opportunity and ignoring most everything else”.
