Landon, despite his bad attitude and his appearance, he is not a bad kid, just dissatisfied and lost. He is young and makes dumb decisions that involved in dangerous stunts with his friends that leaves one of his friend injured. Still, he is also the only one out of his group to cares enough about his injured friend to not flee as soon as the police discover them, so of course, he is the only one that got caught.
The actors did an excellent job playing the character in the movie like that they could have been in real life. The actors played their roles like they have a real-life connection to the part of the character. The first thing that Jamie ever said to Landon is not to fall in love with her, but in the end, Landon has fallen for her. When Jamie and Landon got married, there was a real connection between them like they are a couple in person.

For a film from 2002, the production was shockingly bright, and it did not feel like it was from 2002.
