Teenage love is hard to handle, you don’t think right and you will do anything to be with your true love. Juliet's parents, Lady Capulet and Lord Capulet, are at fault for their daughter’s death and her lover’s. Parents usually get in the way of love and they did in this story of Romeo and Juliet by starting fights with the Montagues, killing the Montagues and other people, and lastly, pushing Juliet into marrying Paris. The Capulets, Lady, Lord, and Tybalt, start the fights in the story of Romeo and Juliet. In the beginning, Tybalt pushes the Montagues to fight with him, which makes the Prince mad and that adds to the fault of the Capulets. Later on in the play, Tybalt wants to fight the Montagues again, however they did not want to fight but ended up fighting and Tybalt kills Mercutio. The Capulets later blame Romeo for the death of both Tybalt and Mercutio when Romeo only killed Tybalt for killing Mercutio. Also to show that Tybalt is at fault he says, “That you hast done me;therefore turn and draw” (3.1.65). This shows that Tybalt was asking for the fight, and also for something he did not expect, his death. The Capulets always start the fights with the Montegues, which kills themselves in the end.
The killing of most people is done by the Capulets in the streets of Verona, Italy. They killed Mercutio (which I mentioned earlier) which made Romeo kill Tybalt. They wanted to kill Romeo for killing their beloved Tybalt, but were unsatisfied by the Princes decision of banishing him instead. Finally, they basically killed Juliet because she was being pushed into marrying Paris, which kept her from her love and made her drink a potion, making Romeo kill himself as a result, Juliet took her life for him. As Lady Capulet said, “Romeo slew Tybalt; Romeo must not live.”(3.1.178) This shows that Lady Capulet just wants to “solve” this problem with killing Romeo. All the Capulets want to to do is kill to get rid of their problems which actually start more problems. In addition, Juliet's parents keep pushing her into marrying Paris, yet Juliet loves Romeo so she does not want to be with Paris. At first, Juliet’s parents wanted to wait two more summers for her to get married to Paris, but then Tybalt died and changed everything. Her Father is mostly at fault, proven by him saying, “She shall marry this noble earl.”(3.5.21) This shows that Lord Capulet wants Juliet to marry Paris, in which does not turn into a good decision. By pushing Juliet into marrying Paris, the Capulets lose the most important thing, their only daughter and child.
In conclusion, parents always interfere with their children's life, especially if they’re teenagers just like in this story of Romeo and Juliet. Parents should just let their kids be who they want to be and love who they want to love instead of starting fights, killing people they know, or taking control of their child's life.
