Remember that time when you were enjoying yourself outside, maybe you were having a walk on the beach, or a picnic with your family, but then you smell the revolting smell of the 7000 chemicals in cigarette smoke and suddenly your whole day is ruined. It's treacherous. Therefore, all smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaping, must be banned, as it will decrease the number of premature deaths as well as severe health issues, improve the air quality and environment, and help stabilize the economy.

When smoking is banned, the environment, economy as well as peoples' wellbeing will be majorly benefited. Firstly, it would have a dramatic impact on smokers. Professionals state that cigarette smoke contains over 4,000 different compounds. Many of these are toxic, damage our cells and many of them cause cancer. These consist of benzene, which often causes leukemia, arsenic, which damages blood vessels and the heart, cadmium, which is a toxic metal which harms the kidneys as well as the arteries, and ammonia, which makes it addictive (Nancy Moyer, 2015). All of these can cause cancer. Smoking can cause health issues along the lines of cancer or premature deaths. Even second-hand smoke can cause cardiovascular disease and trigger acute cardiac events (CDA, N.D). This proves that if cigarettes were banned, the overall health of citizens would be very much benefited in many ways.

There are many ways that different stakeholders may be affected, depending on their roles in society, or relationship with the consumer. For instance, the public, walking by, would be stakeholders. The reason is that they are breathing in the smoke and it is negatively affecting their health and body. Another example is doctors. Doctors must care for the smokers once the damage has been done to their body. There are countless other stakeholders, such as rehabilitation centers, sellers, companies, families, police, hospitals, and government, just to name a few. Many of these stakeholders are affected through the economy. This cost US$422 billion, for the purpose of treatment as well as hospitalization, as well as indirect costs from labor lost to illness and death (Financial Tribune, 2017). This links back to the thesis since all of these stakeholders are dramatically affected through economy. There are many stakeholders and ways that they are impacted when people smoke cigarettes or vaping.

It isn't only certain groups of people that are in the risk group of being affected by the consequences of cigarette smoking, but the whole ecosystem is affected by the means of the tobacco industry as well (Christina Matthews, 2019). If smoking continues to be legal in Australia, it will have an irreversible effect on the environment. It has an extreme impact by the because the product is created using non-renewable materials, and this creates litter as well as polluting the air. The six trillion cigarettes made every year, majorly affect the earth through climate change, water and land use, and toxicity (Hayley Dunning, Joanna Wilson, 2018). This will affect us in the long term and is irreversible, and the longer it takes for smoking to be banned, the worse that it will get. These examples go back to my thesis in the ways that it affects our society as well as the environment.

To sum up everything that has been stated, it is crucial that smoking and vaping is banned immediately in Australia, as it negatively impacts not only smokers, but also other stakeholders as well as society as a whole. If Australia were to forbid smoking, it would greatly decrease the number of premature deaths and severe health issues, clean up the air and environment as well as help stabilize the economy. So think, the last time you walked past someone smoking a cigarette, you weren't happy, were you?
