As centuries passed by education has been an important aspect of life and society. If you heard about the importance of high education to other people or from your family, those people and your family belong to that majority of formal education supporters. There's nothing wrong with it. However, other people define success in different ways. There are some different notions concerning formal education. We all know that college is necessary for you to have a stable job. Other says that college is just a waste of time, that we can be successful in life without finishing a proper education.
Even when a job does not require a formal education for you to be accepted, 91% of jobs go to people who have one. Considering people with bachelor's degrees more likely to be employed and have a higher paying job, in a group they are more secure in terms of finances. However, there are a lot of people saying that financial stability is not based on the education you finished but it's on the mind and things you are doing for you to able to succeed. According to a last year survey, there are lots of people who have done a formal education but cannot find a stable job that will let them earn and become financially stable.
Bill Gates started Microsoft when he was 19 and has since become one of the world's wealthiest people. Mark Zuckerberg owns one of the most highly-valued tech companies in the U.S. Steve Jobs founded Apple in his garage. These people are one of those successful people without having a formal education. Based on them we can say that people can be successful in any field with the right skills. Why do so many people think you have to go to college to be successful? Perhaps it is because they have experienced these benefits for themselves. Yes, it is possible to be successful without a university degree. However, there are too many courses designed to take you from a lack of real experience to highly skilled training prepared for the job market. Having a university degree is a definite advantage. Most of us are not Steve Jobs. Most of us don't have a large network, and when the going gets tough, we can rely on it. Academia provides the support most adults need not only to graduate but also to start a new life. For many adults, success begins the day they graduate.
Hard work and determination certainly have their place in achieving success, and ‘if you have an entrepreneurial spirit, connections with angel investors, and a mind for tech trends’ it's possible to follow in the footsteps of Jobs or Gates. For the rest of us (those with interests outside of starting the next global tech phenomenon), the path to making it will be steadier and more traditional.
Also, not everyone has what it takes to risk it all and if you look at those who made it big on a dream, they often face huge setbacks. Gates, for example, started failing data companies before Microsoft, causing him to start from scratch. Without a backup plan, an incredible support system, and an unfailing work ethic, most of us can't sustain these types of setbacks more than once in a lifetime. The concept of determination is a familiar one; examples can be easily found across cultures. Determination is necessary for accomplishing a wide range of goals and objectives. Determination is a firmness of purpose or resoluteness. Specifically, being determined means having a firm decision or goal and not wavering in your pursuit of achieving it. Determination gives you hope, spurs creativity, pushes you to go above and beyond, and helps you to motivate others.
