In the United States Constitution, it was written in 1787, so it could outline the laws and beliefs of the newly independent country. The Amendments were added to the Constitution so that it ensures that the states and citizens would have powers that would make it so the federal government could not take it away. The Second Amendment says, “A well-organized militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”. Today everyone fears about school violence involving guns. I believe that every single person who owns a gun should lock it up including their ammunition and they should not give their children a key or the combination so that they can’t get into it so they wouldn't be able to harm anyone or themselves with guns. I even think Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, older siblings who live outside of their parents' house. They should also lock up their guns and ammunition to make sure they can’t get into the hands of school students. Also, if the students are given guns they should also be locked up so they can’t them unless they have parental permission. Also, I believe that every child should be taught how to use guns and how they should be handled. Also, they should be taught the do’s and don'ts about using firearms. Also, they should be told that they can not take guns without permission from their parents. The more guns that are put in the right hands make every good person safer even good people who don’t own guns.

The more responsible people who already have guns that are ready to be used for self-defense and it makes the public safer. Guns also benefit the community and it helps home protection and it is more beneficial to the entire community than many other anti-burglary measures. If you have guns in your home and a burglar comes to your house they don’t know if people are already there and if they do or don’t have guns to protect themselves. “An additional woman carrying a concealed handgun reduces the murder rate for women by about three to four times more than additional armed man reduces the murder rate for men victims of violent crimes are generally physically weaker than the crinimals who prey on them.

Allowing a woman to defend herself with a concealed handgun makes a much larger difference in her ability to defend herself than the change created by providing a man with a handgun,” “Disarming women can have deadly consequences. Polly Pryzbl a Cheecktowagn, N.Y., woman, was murdered by her husband in August 1994 after police took away her guns. A few days earlier, she had separated from her husband and taken her children with her to her mother’s house. Her husband came to her mother’s house and threatened her; she brandished a pistol to force her husband to back off. Police arrived and seized her gun. A week later, she and her mother went to her husband’s house to pick up clothing for her children; her husband stepped out of the house and gunned them both down.”

The first reason why keep and bear arms is in the Second Amendment. “First, the Founding Fathers, the authors of the Constitution, did not like the idea of leaving the defense of America only to a full-time, professional army. Many European countries at that time had professional armies, and it often led to problems of many kinds. For one thing, a full-time army costs a lot of money. The Second Amendment’s creators thought the answer to those problems was to have armed citizens play an active role in the defense of the country.”

“The second reason the Constitution’s authors wanted to guarantee a right of the people to keep and bear arms was so that the government would not easily become a dictatorship. Many countries of Europe did not allow their citizens to own guns. As a result, those European governments had a little fear in trampling their own citizens liberties”.

“The U.S. Department of Justice found that nearly 70 percent of all murders, 42 percent of all robberies and 21 percent of all aggravated assaults reported to police in one recent year involved the use of a gun. The Justice Department also found that a gun was involved more than 400,000 times during that same year in crimes other than murder and suicide”. Gun violence is a daily hardship that is affecting the lives of people around the world. Many more than 500 people die every single day because of violence committed with firearms. When some people are afraid of gun violence, it could also have a negative impact on somebody’s right to education or health care because they are too afraid to attend their schools or health facilities or if their services are not fully functioning because of firearm violence in their community. Firearm assault can disturb the functioning of any school and make the student’s traveling to and from school very dangerous. “The US government is prioritizing gun ownership over basic human rights. Despite the huge number of guns in circulation and the sheer numbers of people killed by guns each year, there is a shocking lack of federal regulations that could save thousands.”
