Wool mark is an Australian based company and its culture and way of working is very different from Japan. Japanese culture has a high-power distance rate which interprets that Japanese community promotes higher role and superiority. Their opinion on position and ranking hierarchy is common in their culture and many organizations in Japan do not encourage contribution from their employees when it comes to making decisions. In other world Australian people are very low context people who believe in equality, freedom of speech and do not follow the rules of superiority with one another. Japanese people are collectivists and they prefer working in groups whereas Australians are individualists they prefer doing things individually.
Another dissimilarity that among the two cultures that needs to be concentrated is their uncertainty avoidance index. The Australian culture has a very low uncertainty avoidance rate which indicates that Australians are more exposed to diverse ideas and accept each other’s ideas and way of working whereas, The Japanese culture is totally opposite as they are very structural, and they tend to be more anxious about determining new concepts which makes them high context people. Japanese culture supports structured settings and workers show a great level of commitment to a company by staying in the company for a longer period of time.
Starting a business in a new site can be rough but with good ideas and hard work investing in this project will not only increase our revenue but it will also give us an opportunity to increase our consumer market in one of the fastest developing country. Japanese people are evolving, and women are becoming more inspired which is making a huge improvement in their daily and professional regime. While Japanese people and customers have always been reluctant to buy foreign products in the former period, now they are becoming gradually more exposed regarding them over the time and they are always eager to buy stuffs from abroad.
Japanese customers are extremely diverse when it comes to comforts and interests. According to a research Japanese people are one of the most loyal and friendly customers. Japanese employees are very hardworking, and the labor cost is also very cheap in comparison to Australia. Japan also has a very low employee turnover rates and employees there are very productive in the organizations. They are always willing to work extra hard for the company.
