“The Bombing Of Pearl Harbor” was one of the most consequential battles during WWII. The attack was unexpected, this made it hard for America to fight back. It all began with planes, at the time the U.S was a neutral country, meaning that they were at peace. An attack being made seemed odd, at first the U.S caught 4 objects in their radar. After getting a closer look towards it, they realized it was planes. At the time Japan began an aggressive campaign of military expansion. This began with the invasion on Manchuria, and then more. As more things began to happen the U.S became agitated about the situation.

The attack began on December 7th, 1941, this was when the plan to bomb Pearl Harbor came to action. The plan was to neutralize American forces. In fact, Japan had been planning the attack for a while before actually doing it. Japan thought that coming in with a surprise attack would be the best way to do this. They thought that armed and ready the U.S were dangerous so they chose a time where they were left defenseless. Sadly, the plan worked since when the planes arrived, American forces were left clueless until the first bomb dropped. After the first bomb, it was overwhelming, U.S forces were unprepared, although they fought back, it wasn’t enough. They managed to obliterate a plane and kill 65 men along with capturing one. Even after putting up a fight, Japan had the upper hand. They had the higher ground advantage, along with planes and bombs. This countered U.S forces in every single way. The situation the U.S was left in, was truly tragic.

The attack contained two waves, Japan sent a wave of planes to attack the harbor and then sent another wave to complicate things. The attack was inflicting severe damage to the harbor and everything behind it. The bombing was too much due to the fact that bombs were dropped on the harbor and behind it. Bringing to devastation to civilians, the bomb that blew up the harbor ended out killing civilians along with the harbor. The U.S began to put up a fight damaging a variety of the planes in the air, this caused Japan to send out submarines to fight along. After more tragedy, more bombing, more deaths… the attack was finally over. This humongous outburst lasted two hours, that means two hours of devastation that was cast upon our beloved home of millions, America. The result of this battle was unfortunate, both sides were restless till the end.
