Overpopulation is a real problem and now in 2018 it’s more dangerous than ever. Living in big cities is becoming each day a more common thing. People arrive to cities searching fame, their dream job, diversity and freedom. But what they don’t know it’s that living in the countryside could be better in more aspects that you could possibly imagine. Sometimes living in the countryside could be boring, monotonous and even stressful but like the famous phrase “Nobody knows what he has until the day he loses it” when you leave the countryside and start living in a city you will miss the countryside as much as you can. Life in the countryside can be relaxing and fruitful. Full of nature and pollution-free.
Living in the countryside means that in most cases 50% of you food and maybe more hasn’t been processed at all or if it has been processed it is a minimum amount. Also security rates in the countryside are really much lower that in a big city, that means that you can give to your family a more stable and safe lifestyle. Maybe we make sound living in the countryside perfect but for some people living here is as useless and horrible than living in a deserted island. Your lifestyle in the countryside can be relaxing and healthy but there’s many reasons why thousands and thousands of people are moving to big cities where they are going to start all over again leaving behind all their memories and friends in their hometowns.
Cities maybe are not relaxing at all. They are full of traffic and garbage. They are crowded and stressful but living here can give you a lot of opportunities and access to services of higher quality. Basically living in a city gives you access to better transportation, health, education, job opportunities and a lot of more things that for some people are more important than their own health. Living in a city is not safe at all. You are breathing air that is so contaminated that it may cause major diseases like cancer.
More than having all kinds of pollution, living in a city is dangerous, stressful and for many people that arrive there with high expectations it can be so frustrating that cause them to take their own lives. As you can see living in a city pros are nothing compared to their cons. It’s not worth it to prioritize your financial status than you and your family’s health and safety. As you can see life in a city can be diverse, cosmopolitan and even with better quality services, but that doesn’t matter when you have the opportunity to live in the countryside where life is relaxing, full of direct contact with nature and last but not least with better chances of having better health.
Although I compare both we can’t forget what they both have in common in order for us to make a fair decision if we have to move to one. Both have laws and rules but the most important of both is that they provide basic services like health, transportation, education and more but the difference lies in the quality of those services.
In conclusion, it all depends in your lifestyle. Move wherever you want taking in account all these factors and take in account that living in the countryside it’s not as bad as many people make it sound and sometimes it may be better than living in “perfect” cities where “dreams come true”.
