Different words may mean different meanings. Therefore, confusion occurs as cultural difference remains.

To commence with yes, when I first visit Canada for my studies, I experience cultural difference. As, I'm pure vegetarian so I found that the restaurants or any food court I found the vegetarian items are much expensive than the non-vegetarian items as Canadian people like to eat the non-vegetarian meals a lot to maintain their healthy diet.To exemplify, in India cow is worshiped as the god in India but here the most of the Canadian people love to eat the beef it is the greatest shock I experienced when landed in Canada. But what I observe is the facilities and information are more frequently given in Canada rather than in India .Here the rules and regulation are the main things to be follow but in our country the people of the country do not even follow the red light rule .There are several topics here in Canada that can be argued openly but cannot be discussed openly in our Indian culture. Individuals are not open minded in our community. In addition, there is inequality between two genders. Women are viewed not to be equal to men. There is no clear-cut way of dealing with culture shock. They were not allowing the women to work outside. Today also this thinking exists but as compared to history nowadays the time has become better and .Whereas in Canada people are free to work depending on their own choices. There are no boundaries. People are free from discriminations .Inequality does not exist in Canada. My culture known as Punjabi culture is the oldest culture in the world history. I spent my childhood surrounded by different types of people of different cultures. Life has different phases some are positive and some are negative.

Describing more about Punjabi culture, people always has smile on their faces .They do give proper time to their work and family whereas Canada has no work-life balance. Sometimes they had to work on weekends too. In Canada, life is very busy .They are unable to give time to their children. There is lot of difference in way of studying. In India, the students have to stand and wish the teacher whilst the teacher is entering the class but here in Canada there is no such rituals to stand up and wish them, we can wish them whilst sitting on the desk. In Canada, they do not give burden to students as Canadian government believes that more emphasis will be on practical theory rather than on theoretical theory. In Canada, shaking hand is the way of the greeting on the other hand in India shaking hand is not the part of the greeting as ladies must put on their dupatta on thier face even to meet anyone else. In India there are many kinds of restrictions which are overwhelmed here in Canada. Even there is discrimination in the system of the education as backward and scheduled cast class have seats reserved at 45% marks only whereas in general category or in Sikhs the student must get overall percentage of 75% to obtain the same course. This discourage the confidence of other people to do its best in their examination.

Furthermore, India is more masculine society. Indian society is occupied by competitions whereas Canadian society is driven by caring and quality of life. Here, people enjoy their life by taking no stress .Further there is difference in language of two countries. Canadian people do not understand our language. They have their own languages to communicate. There is difference in outfits. Canadian people wear mostly western dresses whereas Indians wear traditional dresses but not always. Canada and India differ a lot in religious values. India is religious country. People celebrates lot of festivals. They teach their children moral values. Grandparents play very important role in teaching religious values. But in Canada everyone has their own space .In India ,people likes to share their space with others. They like to meet different peoples.

In Canada, humans don't have any disgrace to do any sort of work or even the supervisor may join you in doing the low-level responsibilities like cleaning the floor, desks, shifting materials, etc. Here human beings take pleasure in all varieties of work. This isn't always usually the case in Indian companies where people would decide upon the cleaners to do the dirty and unrespectable work.
