The Earth's Environment and The Issues for The Biodiversity

Even though the Earth seems like it is completely stable, the environment is being damaged. For example, because of forest destruction, floods occur since there are no trees to drink the rain. The people of the world have caused this, but there is still time to make a difference to keep the earth clean and safe. If there is no change, the Earth will keep on getting more polluted, and there might not be an Earth in the future. Pollution has existed for as long as long as humans have existed. Pollution, global warming, and many other factors affect the entire Earth. Problems associated with protecting our environment, include Global warming and decreased biodiversity, but reducing the use of fossil fuels and protecting the ecosystem are possible solutions for environmental protection.

Although Global Warming is one of the major problems with the environment, a new planet and sustainability can solve Global Warming issues. Global Warming is when there is a build up of burned or used fossil fuel gases in the atmosphere. Fossil fuels provide energy from decayed plant matter. Oil and coal are examples of fossil fuels. Car fuels, oils, factory smoke, carbon dioxide, methane, and complex chemicals are called CFCs. CFCs rise into the atmosphere and stop heat from escaping, causing the Earth's temperature to rise. A small rise of temperature has caused the polar ice caps to start melting, causing sea levels to rise, and increasing the risk of skin cancer for humans. Low lying places are often affected by floods because sea level is rising. CFCs also have/are affecting the climates in different areas by changing them permanently and causing storms to affect the landscapes and resources. Scientists are thinking of making a new planet on Mars. Scientists are trying/ thinking of making Mars habitable, since the earth is getting ominous. Sustainability is an option to end some of the problems threatening the Earth. Finding new resources is a solution to ending CFC pollution. Finding and using renewable resources will end fossil fuels. If there is less use of fossil fuels, there is less pollution, less temperature rises, and less damage to the Ozone layer. Global Warming is an important issue with the environment, but decreased biodiversity is a big issue as well.

Even though decreased biodiversity is another global issue, but conservation can solve this problem. The ecosystems are being affected by humans on building new factories, new farms, etc. This affects the ecosystem food chain by destroying an animals’ habitat. For example, scientists counted more than 1,000 different species of trees growing in a single square mile. The whole U.S. and Canada combined are about 7 million square miles (19 million square kilometers) and is home to approximately 700 different species of trees. New construction or action by humans can affect a whole area like this by maybe even reducing animal species or resources. Conservation means the act of protecting something, and in order to save our earth and protect it, people should start conserving our planet.

Clearly, problems associated with protecting our environment, include Global warming and decreased biodiversity, but reducing the use of fossil fuels and protecting the ecosystem are possible solutions for environmental protection. The ESD (energy for sustainable development) advises other companies, cities, towns, and countries on how to balance energy needs with environmental awareness. People should find solutions to environmental problems in the 21st century and for the future. I think people should not be living by the past, but instead by the future and looking towards the future. Working together, people will challenge on safeguarding the environment. I hope people will stop wasting their money on fossil fuels, but instead on buying fuel economy products or finding new ways to use renewable energy. Hopefully, people of the earth should start taking care of it before it is too late in order to live.
