The painting “Without Hope” was painted at the year of 1945, when Frida Kahlo was forced to be fed by prescription of her doctor. In the back of this painting Frida Kahlo wrote down the following explanation: “Not the least hope remains to me...Everything move in time with what the belly contains.” At that time Frida Kahlo was endured from a need of appetite due to her numerous surgeries and various sicknesses. She was a feminist which was great for women empowerment and she overcame many obstacles in her life which gave women in hard situations hope. Through her accomplishments she showed women empowerment and bravery. Frida Kahlo’s fame grew after her death. Her blue house became a museum in the year 1958-1970. She was an Icon to female creativity. In the year of 2002, a movie named Frida was released, staring alma Hayek as Frida Kahlo and Alfred Molina as Diego Rivera. This movie was nominated for six Academy Awards and won for Best Makeup and Original Score.
