Are you extremely passionate about the great sport of soccer but you just don’t know if it’s worth it? Well there are countless opportunities in the world of soccer from becoming a pro player to the endless health benefits it offers. This essay will discuss its history, health benefits as well as league benefits.
The introduction of a sport we would one day know as soccer can be traced back to ancient China, Greece, Rome and parts of Central America. This sport has always been the root of teamwork, individual skills and discipline. Although the sport has been around for a long time, it wasn’t until England started keeping actual records of the sport being played and implementing official rules. In 1891 the penalty kick was implemented and according to the article listed “FIFA became a member of the International Football Association Board of Great Britain in 1913”. Among other great rules such as yellow and red cards being introduced during the 1970 World Cup Finals.
While the sport is still fun and exciting what makes it even better is the fact that we receive so many health benefits from it. Many people do not exercise because it’s as many say “boring” which is understandable, who likes to work out alone? It does get a bit boring, but with the sport people do a lot without realizing they’re burning fat and gaining more lean muscle. Soccer drills also help reduce blood pressure and cholesterol. The sport is also great for breathing, and the best thing about this is that most of these benefits can kick in in just 12-16 weeks after training.
When it comes down to leagues or otherwise known as clubs, there are many great benefits. There is affiliation with national organizations this is a great thing it the doors towards recruitment for colleges, semi pro and pro teams. You receive better training programs for players and the coaches which is essential for a better overall team. You also get to go out and travel for tournaments! The best thing about this is that the expenses are covered by the club when so all you pay are your club dues.
In conclusion, the sport of soccer is one of the greatest if not the greatest sports in history. This is because thanks to its beautiful history, starting over 2,000 years ago in different parts of the globe. The awesome health benefits that it offers for you and your loved ones from the comfort of one’s back yard.
