The Huge Impact of Ffa in My Life and How It Shaped My Future Plans

Out of all of the extracurricular and other activities I am in, FFA is by far me favorite. I have learned so much from FFA. It has showed me my passions in life, and has helped me become the person I want to be. FFA has made a huge impact on my life. It has taught me public speaking skills, interview skills, leadership skills and so much more. FFA has become such a big part of my life, and it is something that makes me who I am.

I have contributed a lot to my FFA. I have served as my chapter treasurer, and am currently serving as President. I participate in as many activities as I can. I do most community service activities my chapter offers, and participate in almost all of the CDE contests. I have participated in rural soils, urban soils, job interview, farm business management, Ag sales, parliamentary procedure, and forestry. I have also participated in public speaking where I was a state finalist, and the envirothon where I am a team captain. My favorite competition is the Nature Interpretation competition. In that competition I finished third in the state and my team qualified for the environmental natural resource competition. There we placed first in the state and then we went on to nationals where we placed fourteenth. So overall, I am very active in my FFA and strive to make it the best it can be.

I have learned so much about myself from FFA. I have learned that I used to be dreadful at public speaking, but that has changed about me. I have learned that I love natural resources, and it is my passion. I have learned where my flaws are and have worked on fixing them. FFA has taught me who the real me is.

Lastly, FFA has shaped my future plans. As mentioned my passion is Natural Resources. I am acting on that passion. I plan on attending West Virginia University to major in Parks recreation and tourism resources. There I plan to get a career as a Park Ranger, and live out my love for the environment.
