In our society, feminism is a driver of many aspects of human life. More importantly, it is an important facet of protection for women against insecurity, discrimination, and other issues in the society. I suggest that feminism should be considered as an instrument to advocate for women's rights in law, politics, science, and society in general. In the society, there are many stereotypes about women and their roles including discriminations and harassment. Feminism has dynamically changed some of the stereotypes and the views about females and how they participate in the society. There is a need to establish the role of feminism in the society and create awareness about what needs to be addressed as issues affecting women. Feminism has had a positive effect on the expectation of women in our society. It has completely changed the opportunities and perspectives of women on their lives.

For instance, during past times in our society, women had to marry to acquire financial stability and security. According to the UN report (2011), women are currently working and have become more independent than ever by earning their own capital. Many women do not currently rely on men for financial stability. The situation had made many little girls to have a dream of just growing up, get married, and have children. A career was not viewed as something beneficial to women. Feminism has made the priorities of women to change. Most of them now focus on pursuing their career as the first priority. Marriage and having children are not considered as important anymore and come last after career. In other words, presently, women have more choices and opportunities compared to the past before feminism got famous. The society now tells the daughters that they can be anything they want to be. Feminism has made inequality issues to reduce in the society. Inequality issues had dominated the society in every sector including in places of work, families, community, and homes.

For instance, studies show that inequality lays heavily in the difference in salary between men and women workers. In the past, being a female worker was the most serious disablement to women in places of work. According to Perfect (2012), women working on a fulltime basis earn about less than men working in the same category. In addition to that, women working on a part-time basis also earned less compared to men's salary in the same category. The variation in payment was created through gender segregation of employment and women being separated in the society. The situation also introduced the stereotype for females to be responsible for specific jobs especially the ones with less payment. Consequently, women became underrepresented in large firms and vocational works.

Currently, feminism has come a long way and have dynamically changed the situation since more women are employed in large firms and vocational works (Perfect, 2012). In addition to that women are presently receiving fair payments in employment. Additionally, feminism has changed what males in the society anticipate from sharing their lives with female individuals and how they will act towards women. For instance, children on the rise nowadays just take for granted feminism information about justice and equality when only nearly 30 years ago, such messages were hugely opposed as intimidating to the social aspect of the society. In the society, feminism has made young boys and adult men to believe in the full equality of males and females (United Nations, 2011). In addition to that, it has made men feel unconstrained in the roles females play in the society and allowed them to pursue their interest. As men expect women to be domestic workforces and care employees, feminism has made this kind of employment to be less worthy in the society. Feminism has led to a situation where women are also allowed to make essential decisions in the society.

According to the World Health Organization (2009), the society had disadvantaged women making men dominate everything. Men were the ones to give ideas, make a decision, support community programs, and handle any essential issue affecting the society. In today's world, feminism has reduced gender inequality and women can contribute to issues affecting health, employment, and other opportunities (WHO, 2009). Women have also become lead managers in most community programs that include all gender. In response to the role of feminism in my society, the aspirations of young and older women have increased. Presently, girls have their focus set on university and profession other than just getting married and having children.

The same aspiration has led to the increased engagement of women with work and school that in the past. Women no longer aspire to get married and have children to gain financial stability in the society. Unlike in the past where females were entitled to specific tasks such as care, they can present work in large firms and every form of employment including professional labor. The inequality which existed making men to view women as disadvantaged and less worth in the society has vanished. In my general view, feminism has reduced the inequality making women dominate in many sectors including making a decision on societal issues such as health, unemployment, and others.
