Biological Behavior influences us while we do our day to day activities. Involving how we interpret environmental occurrences into our lives, how we use perception to understand the things that happen to us, and lastly how our thoughts and behavior are from a biological standpoint. Everyday people become curious on why we act the way we do, and Biological behavior plays a huge role in figuring out where your actions come from.
Behavior is biologically influencing to us just by doing day to day activities like how we interpret environmental occurrences. Some specialized doctors and psychologists believe “our behaviors are influenced by both environmental and biological occurrences. And some things about how even though most psychologists accept the idea that we are the product of the interaction between biology and environment, sometimes they will argue that biology is more important than environment or that environment is more important than biology. However, environment is never more important than biology” (Johnson). Given this information I can easily understand that the environment gives at least 30% of accurate examples and reasons as to why our surroundings can shape us into who we are and how we act. Any phenomena can influence us. Nothing happens because of a set of actions.
All individuals address situations differently. We tend to use our perception to control what we do and how fast we react to each situation we encounter. A professor stated that, “Mentality takes place and controls what we think when we are put in a specific situation, Like our intellectual abilities, our physical abilities, and our self-awareness” (Aydar). This was a study that continued to go on and record how different people react to different situations. They also measured what senses we use first. Millions of people each day believe that our senses are used accordingly, which is true. We use our senses and perception more than we do anything else. Our bodies react to everything. Even if you don't notice it. However we do interpret things differently.
Most people like to use a biological approach. Which is a specific way to prove that we act a certain way because of… whatever. A “Biological Approach” Is basically “The biological approach believes us to be as a consequence of our genetics and physiology. It is the only approach in psychology that examines thoughts, feelings, and behaviors from a biological and thus physical point of view.” (McLeod). Which is what is stated by Saul mcLeod, A Psychology tutor, and professor for the University of Manchester. However, a Biological approach is not the only way psychologists find effective and worth their time. There is also something called a comparative method, Which just explains that we can use animals, or mammals that are similar to us to help us with a better understanding of our behavior. Most people use their senses and our thoughts/feelings to determine how something is thought of or how our minds can take things differently than others.
Some may argue that our behavior is not influenced by our biological processes but by our genes and our traits specifically. This is something that is regularly tested. Many people believe that we can use only our genes and our passed down traits to influence our actions. I feel as is part our our behaviors are definitely influenced by what we saw while growing up, and maybe we act the way we do because of how our parents act. However, those arguing this viewpoint are oblivious to how we’re actually influenced. It wouldn't make much sense if our physical abilities and our environmental status does not influence us would be very hard to prove (Biological Bias).
Everyday we do things that make us have a reaction. Everything we do or anything that happens to us, we react to it. Our bodies and minds use perception, Our environmental state and our biological standpoints. In conclusion, our mentality plays a huge role on us. We take in the things we see in our environment, and we use our senses to help us answer certain questions or actions that are thrown at us. While writing this I don't expect anyone to change their viewpoint, only because we can use excuses to say or show how and why we reacted a certain way. Everyone will always believe in different ways. And half of people don't even have any knowledge on our biological influences. Now that I've researched and became more familiar with our influences I can easily say that we all do things for a reason and that everyone does things differently, we are all different.
