The impact of history has continuously had an immense effect on the world, from the beginning of time up until now. History has shaped our present and will continue to mold our future. That being said, there are plenty of events that have greatly altered the world’s antiquity. Though the U. S. has established several historic events throughout the years, the same can be stated about other countries.

The competition between the two Korean countries, The Korean War, brought third-party countries into a worldwide political and moral controversy. There have been numerous local and global consequences of the Korean War. The entire Korean population was affected massively by the war. In addition to the substantial lives lost, many families were divided due to war. Nevertheless, some of the results of the war were significantly progressive. ⠀

In addition to the large number of fatalities, the war divided families and displaced countless of people. The war between North Korea and South Korea has had a profound impact on the people and the consequences of the war are still present today.

Due to Japan becoming an invaluable base for the US in the Korean dispute, Japan’s economy was significantly surged in 1950. Japan’s vibrant economic boost was given to Japan as a result of the war, which was extremely valuable to the nation. The present state of the Japanese economy would not be as successful today, had the epidemic in the Korean war not occurred.

Despite China’s recognition as a robust world power, the effect of the Korean War negatively affected the country. Their involvement with the war led to 600,000 military deaths and more than 716,000 severely wounded.

While the Korean War had an immense effect on participating countries, it also profoundly influenced the Cold War. The Korean War marked the beginning of the Cold War as a global war which set a reference for many subsequent disputes. It opened the Cold war to a larger scale of country conflicts.

Lots of the technology used today is derived from advances made then, such as digital watches and LCD screens from display panels. Thus, the Korean War affected the progression of war as well as encouraged the advancement of the science and technological fields that have helped society to present day.

Overall, the Korean War has had lasting consequences both locally and globally. The progression of the Cold war and modern advancements in technology and existing treaties could not have been without the Korean War.

In conclusion, no matter the origin of an event in history, the effects alter not only the source of where it started but the countries around it. History has shaped human society as we know it, no matter how great the aftermath of the effects is.
