“Most people are much stronger than they think, they just sometimes forget to believe in it” This concept is the subject of research of psychologists, sociologists and scientists. However, there is still no particular definition of motivation. There are many hypotheses that based on scientific research, so turning to various sources, we learn that motivation is a system of internal and external motives, forcing a person to behave in a certain way. It’s means that the motivation is the process of forcing to perform some actions, designed to meet the needs of the person.

Motivation is very important for each person. Motivation, like an arrow in the heart, can wake an uncertain or suffering heart to go forward with hope in the future and with faith in yourself. There are reasons why thousands and thousands of speakers travel around the countries and motivate people every day. I want to give an example of my favorite Australian speaker Nick Vujicic who was born without arms and legs, but in spite of this, he believed in himself and his abilities to live as an ordinary person and achieve all his “impossible” goals. Fantastic strength of spirit, a great desire to live and a sense of gratitude for everything he has. . . That's what Nick Vujicic is, in fact. When you performing any work it is very important to motivate yourself and your actions.

When a person is motivated, he lives easier and more pleasant. Without motivation, any work or study seems meaningless, so it is important to remember that any action that we perform gives us new skills, develops us, makes us more professional. Scientists have identified two main types of motivation: external and internal. but what exactly do they mean when they say: external or internal motivation?External motivation occurs when we want to perform an action or take part in an event in order to receive rewards or to avoid punishment. Examples of behavior that is the result of extrinsic motivation:Studying the discipline for which you want to get a good grade. Participation in the competition to get a prize. In each of these examples, the behavior is due to the desire to receive a reward or to avoid a negative result. Internal motivationInternal motivation encourages action, because it brings personal gain. Essentially, the work is done for its own sake, and not for receiving any reward.

Examples of behavior that is the result of intrinsic motivation: Sports, because it brings pleasure. Solving crossword puzzles because you find this activity interesting. In each of these cases, the person’s behavior is motivated by an inner desire to do something for his own pleasure. External motivation versus internal: which one is stronger? The main difference between the two types of motivation is that the external is outside of the personality, while the internal comes from the inside. The researchers also found that the two types of motivation may differ in how effective they are in current behavior. Numerous studies have shown that issuing rewards for behavior that is already enjoyable can lead to a weakening of intrinsic motivation. In one study, for example, children who were rewarded for playing with a toy that they had already shown interest began to pay less attention to it. It means that external motivation can be beneficial in many situations. Internal and external motivation is necessary for the person to grow, develop and receive from it pleasure. In general, motivation is important for self-perfection.

However, a person must be able to motivate himself. Life is unpredictable and it can happen different situations where a person can fall in spirit and lose himself and only the motivation can save him. People who believe that the motivation is false hopes are deeply mistaken, because many of the successful people every day motivated themselves and even nowadays they continue to motivate themselves to achieve new heights and goals.
