The Power of Goals: Setting and Achieving My Educational Objectives

Every student should have future personal and educational goals as they provide us with the knowledge as well as the understandings making students identify the importance of their learning. They may include the work habits, a particular subjects, areas of learning, or can be combination of all these. Planning everything, analysis the progress to achieve a certain goal and evaluating the result can help students to take more controlled approach over their thinking and their learning processes and equip themselves with learning to learn new skills.

My Name is Kartik Sharma and I am currently doing my Bachelors degree in Networking and software Engineering from University of Canberra. This statement is going to be a brief about my personnel goals after two years of graduation. This includes my educational goals, career goals as well as the potential obstacles or risk that I may face while achieving my goals.

Educational Goals: I must say that Education has been extremely important part of my past life as well as it continues to be the same now and for me Education will play a vital role in my future as well. After my graduation in Networking and Software Engineering I can pursue many careers and I will also do such but all of them will not go as far as I want them to be. Therefore to be able to fulfil my career expectations I will first have a Experience of one Year from a reputed Multinational company in computers and software Engineering and then I will do Master in Engineering (software and Business) as a part time student from University of Melbourne so that I can be more advanced in coding as well as working as a same time or maybe after the completion of my masters I can even find myself working in the management position in the same MNC.

Career Goals: With a Bachelors degree in networking and software Engineering I would have mastered the skills like coding in different languages, planning , management and many more such qualities that are needed to land myself a job in big Multinational company like Capgemini , Fidelity Investments, IBM, etc which offer educational reimbursement. I will continue to work in one of the top MNCs until my above mentioned educational goal is accomplished. It is really important that I will work for them throughout my Masters as they will be providing me educational reimbursement as most of the companies have strict tuition reimbursement rules that needs a employee to work for a company at least for 1 full year otherwise the tuition reimbursement is taken back or is needed to be paid back to the company or the employer.

After my masters is completed I will then turn my focus on finding a more advanced, specialist job where I can be a part of more advanced challenges of software development while the Business management that I have student in my masters degree will play a vital role to help me manage group project, finances of various projects as well. If possible I would like to work for the same company that I started with if they are willing to promote me to a higher paying postion so that I can get hands on experience that would provide me as well the whole company with advance opportunities.
