In this essay it will be show the risky and the difficult way of living sailing the sea on a ship, most of the people can think that is easy, but no ones knows until they live it. On those days you need to have a way to earn money and be a captain let your family a lot of money. But after that that profession is very dangerous. In my point of view the reading was a bit slow because it started with the presentation of all the characters and the way their going to act or how does the characters will develop during the story, when Marlow started with his story when he used to sail in calm water the story introduce yourself into a state that with the time you get more interested. When he talks with his uncle and his uncle told him that he should go to ask for the work of captain. And some parts of the book were difficult to understand because the book was written many years ago so there are some situations that pass many years ago and you should research to understand completely.

My favorite character is Marlow because since the beginning of the story he has like a goal or a dream or his biggest longing, he wants to sail across the sea and find some new places, to have new adventures, to live risky things and to spend time with new and adventurous people. It is awesome how does Marlow want to meet kurtz, that’s the why of Marlow, with help of other sailors he can achieve his multiples goals, he could go for all the world in a boat, he face a lot of difficult situations, he felt dead in his own hands and at the end he continue with his trip until he found kurtz.

The text was heavy because it was composed of three chapters but each chapter is very long so that makes difficult the reading and the separation between each one is long and sometimes they used deeds that happen many years ago and sometimes the research of that deeds takes you away from the plot of the text and to recover the advance is kind of difficult. The colonialism on that epoch was very common many places colonize others, the colonialism is when a town extend his power to other taking his natural resources, his power of work and his men, the people can be slaves.

On the story the passage was very bloody the wars means a lot of things, the story was “real” many parts of the story tell the truth about that epoch, with the wars of the natives, the war of the natives was trying to represent how does the powers try to colonize places that have less power. And in those places, they can explode all their natural resources. I think that the author try to represent many of the things that were happen in that epoch in Europe, it is like a critic to the government, they represent the way of living, how hard it was to live on those times.

So that’s another thing of why the book is tedious, when they refers to some topics of that time about Europe is difficult to me to understand it, because I need to research some events to understand the why of the things, like the wars or the big expeditions I didn’t understand it at first but after read something about the topic I could understand the why of the critics to the government. Europe on those times was passing trough many problems, economic problems, politic problems and also war problems. So I think the book was completely a critic of the citizens to the government and the way of life. The book was bloody because of many things as the wars and the kills.
