Do you think 18-year-olds should use tobacco? I personally think 18 years old are not responsible enough to be able to use tobacco.About 90 percent of adult smokers start while they are still young, and they never plan to become addicted, according to a heath-based website.Increasing the minimum sale age for tobacco products to 21 is an important strategy to reduce smoking and other tobacco use among youth and save lives. An important strategy for reducing smoking and other use of tobacco among youth and saving lives is to increase the minimum sale age for tobacco products to 21.
One of the reasons why smoking should not be used by 18-year-olds is because they are too young and the majority of 18-year-olds are still in high school. They should focus on high school and then once they've finished they should focus on their education because most of them can't stop when you start smoking.Nearly a quarter of American high school students are using at least one form of illicit drug. Most people use more than one, or combine it with alcohol and drugs.
Secondly, 18-year-olds have not fully matured. The teenage brain continues to develop, and the health risks or dependence associated with tobacco products are not known by most teenagers. The harmful and addictive aspect of vaping products such as cigarettes is not understood to most young people. In reality, one Juul pod usually contains as much nicotine as an entire pack of cigarettes, but that's how it is.
When people want a drug badly, they will find a way to access it, whether it is legal or not.The new law will not keep young people's products out of their pockets. On a population level, however, the evidence shows that these kinds of rules and regulations are working to reduce youth use.
They cause respiratory problems, are related to chronic lung disease and heart disease, and are highly addictive. Evidence of the harmful effects of vaping products is still evolving. Although e-cigs do not burn like regular cigarettes and therefore do not have a lot of chemicals in smoke, e-cigarettes are not healthy. These are unregulated, these contain ingredients that cause cancer, and they have been known to blow up, causing hands and faces to be hurt. The vapors also travel deep into the lungs and affect cells and tissues. They cause breathing problems, they are associated with chronic lung disease and heart disease, and they are highly addictive.
My final opinion on this matter is I think they should raise the age to 21. I think this because they aren't mature enough and they are still learning. Some 18 years olds brains haven't even stopped growing at that age and I don't think using any drugs will help them. This won’t help them now or in the future.
