Types of Hobbies in The United States and Ecuador

Introduction

Hobbies are diverse and encompass a wide range of activities developed in free time. They serve as entertainment spaces where individuals engage in various types of hobbies, including artistic, sport-related, cultural, creative, and health activities. These hobbies provide individuals with an opportunity to relax, clear their minds, and enhance their productivity. However, the frequency of engaging in hobbies varies across different countries, influenced by unique customs and traditions.

Exploring Hobbies in the United States and Ecuador

In The United States and Ecuador, citizens usually practice the same sports activities such as running in free spaces like parks; they also practice this activity in the gym for 30 to 40 minutes. Another activity is to dance, that keeps people of all ages to maintain in an excellent physical condition, have better coordination, agility, and flexibility to develop new skills. Furthermore, people usually dance for a period of 30 minutes to 1 hour, this activity is developed with the same frequency in both countries.

Music and Dance in Ecuador and the USA

In addition, Ecuadorians and Americans present some differences in their music preferences to dance, for example, Ecuadorians prefer to dance Latin music such as salsa, reggae, merengue, and cumbia, while Americans enjoy dancing pop, rock and country music, all it depends on the body's resistance and the taste of music. Also, Americans prefer to run in free places such as fields and parks. While Ecuadorians perform this activity frequently in closed spaces as gyms. Both countries practice these activities with the objective of maintaining a good physical condition allowing a better intellectual and physical performance. However, the frequency with which it is performed is different as well as the place.

Conclusion

The aspect that most have surprised me is that in The United States of America people perform the same activities like hobbies as people in Ecuador but in different places. Finally, American people could find different that Ecuadorians prefer Latin music like salsa, merengue, and cumbia.
