Biomedical Engineering is the exercise of engineering principles for the benefit of medicine health. Duties of Biomedical Engineers could include design and develop medical devices such as artificial hearts and kidneys, pacemakers, artificial hips, and surgical lasers. They also would conduct research to test, ensure the safety of equipment used for diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. Similar to any other jobs, these engineers supervise and train technologists and technicians.
