Where I Went for Summer “Summers had came and summers had gone, but this summer was the summer I will never forget. ” School finally ended and summer finally came everybody was ready to take a long great break and some even scheduled for a vacation. The first day of summer felt different from the other days. The temperature was hot, humid but I put the fan on and it felt chilly. Most people I knew in Mississippi had scheduled a vacation during the summer break but I didn’t because I was thinking, “I will do it today at night and when night comes I say I will do it tomorrow at night,” until I forgot about scheduling. During the summer I went to help my uncle during the week and that weekend I went with my friends to the theater or swimming on Sunday. We went to play soccer on Saturday in Madison. It went like this until the first day of Ramadan. That day I started helping my uncle until 8 pm and then we all go to the mosque for a few hours to break our fasting.

After that, I met up with my friends and we went to chill. We went to the theater at night and sometimes we went to one of my friend’s house to play cards and PS until midnight. Sometimes we would stay awake until 3 am. The second day I woke up at 12 pm and went to help my uncle until 8 pm. Then that night my friends and I planned to go to a restaurant. When we came back that night from the restaurant, my friend and I were stopped and the police suspended his license for talking on his phone and for driving over 10 pm because my friend is only 16. The next day we went to a lawyer we knew and the lawyer said not to worry about it and that he will change it to a parking ticket. After 15 days of Ramadan, summer felt like it was forever and I pretty much did the same things until Eid which is my best day. We woke up at 5 am and then I heard the birds in the morning and the air felt fresh. We went that day to water park with my friends.

During that day we challenged each other to slide on the biggest slides. The next day my uncle called me and told me that he wants me to come to his wedding which I forgot about. I told him I will I was getting ready that same week to go to Buffalo. Then I got a call from school telling me I had school In 10 days. All my cousins went because they lived in the north and they had a few months until school and because I lived in the south I had school earlier. I had to stay because of school. After the call from school, I had to change my sim card so that the school doesn’t remind me again!
