Why I Am Planning to Earn My Master’s Degree in The Field of Business Administration

Pursuing higher education has always been a major preoccupation for me. In light of this, I am planning to earn my master’s degree in the field of Business Administration at the University Canada West where I can make my academic dreams come true by acquiring essential skills and knowledge under the supervision of the distinguished faculty members in the department of business. In fact, located at the heart of Vancouver, University Canada West with its high ratio of international students and faculty members can offer me a unique experience in a diverse city where I can boost my global vision and experience.

I was admitted to the Computer Science program at Islamic Azad University. During the early days of university when I was still a freshman, I grew interested in the fields of C# and SQL programming. Soon after, I was offered a job opportunity in the field of business intelligence at Taksaran Parmiss FMCG Wholesaler and Retailer and I came to a decision that I would be better off pursuing a career in this field. In fact, Business Intelligence is a multidisciplinary field that demands the knowledge of both Computer Science and Management fields. Following this, I landed a full-time position at Tehran Darou Pharmaceutical Co as a Sales Data Analyst Supervisor, which led to a promotion I received 1.5 years later as a Sales and Marketing Analyst Manager, which persuaded me to consider continuing the discipline of management for my master’s degree program.

I firmly adhere to this belief that my ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life of humanity through my contributions. We cannot lose our sight of the fact that Iran is a country with a great many untapped potentials for its people to prosper and flourish and sadly little has been done to promote international trade and globalization in this country. Keeping this in perspective, I, as a scholar, feel obliged to take measures to address the aforementioned problem, and I know full well that this feat would be impossible unless I furnish myself with the expertise that I need to acquire through my graduate studies in the field of Business Administration.

However, aside from my academic credentials, there are some other criteria that single me out as a successful potential candidate for the program of MBA. First and foremost, my seven years of experience as both an IT expert and Sales and Marketing Analyst Manager has given me a very strong edge in projects that involve leadership and teamwork. It is also worth mentioning that, as a manager, I have learned how to apply critical thinking in my decision making throughout these years.

In closing, it is my hope that University Canada West admission committee gives me this life-changing opportunity to pursue my education in the field of Business Administration and further my graduate studies in the relevant fields, thus I will be able to leave my marks and make positive contributions to the world around me.
