Abortion: The Most Unpleasant Topic of Conversation

Abortion is the most commonly talked about topic in all of the world today. Many people are against abortion, while you also have some that are for it. Abortion is considered monstrous to me because it has a huge impact on my life. One of my close family members had to go through this gruesome process. This incident plays a huge role on why I am strongly against abortion. Many people may have reasons for why they choose the abortion route, but I look at them as excuses. There is no such thing of “struggling” to hard to abort a child. The children do not ask to be here or asked to be murdered. Abortion is murder and should be punished as such.

Abortion is the ending of pregnancy by removing a fetus or embryo before it can survive outside the uterus. An abortion that occurs spontaneously is also known as a miscarriage. There are two different types of ways you can have an abortion. You can have the procedure done by Medication Abortion or by In-Clinic Abortion. Having it done by In-Clinic Abortion is when a doctor, nurse, or other health care provider uses medical instruments and gentle suction to remove the pregnancy from the uterus. This procedure may sound very cruel, but it is by far very safe and painless. The other method of abortion is having it done by Medical Abortion. Medical Abortion is when you take pills that cause your pregnancy to end and your uterus to expel the pregnancy. This method is like an early miscarriage. Like I said before, both procedures are very safe and painless.

Using either one of the procedures, they both work over 99 percent of the time. In-Clinic Abortion is the most effective way of abortion. In-Clinic Abortion is almost a guarantee that it will be a success. In-Clinic abortion usually takes about 10 minutes, but the entirety of the visit usually can last up to a few hours. If you choose In-Clinic abortion later in pregnancy, the process could take much longer. The other method of abortion, which is medically, is usually works 93 percent of the time. If you have been pregnant for 8 weeks or less, then the medically prescribed pills work 98 percent of the time. You will be instructed to take one pill when you first have your appointment for the abortion at the health center. The doctor or nurse will then instruct you to take the second pill when you get home, usually one or two days later after you take the first pill at the health center. Medical Abortion visits can also take a few hours to complete. You will more than likely need to follow up with your nurse or doctor after you take the pills. You need to make another appointment because the doctor or nurse has to make sure that the medical pills did their job and if you are having any side effects from the medical pills.

There are some advantages and disadvantages to both methods. In-Clinic Abortion is very quick and can last 10 minutes or less or sometimes a little more. Medical Abortion is much more different. You will be able to have the abortion when you are at home, with your significant other or anyone of value to you around. When you have the abortion, it gives you the luxury of having almost a natural carriage. The disadvantage is, of course, the abortion itself. Some will feel sorrow behind the procedure and majority will have no remorse behind having a miscarriage. Either way it goes, or whatever procedure you choose if you want to have an abortion, it is still a horrible thing and should be punished accordingly.
