Nowadays, many people are doing many tasks or jobs. They have different reasons why they want to do two or more jobs at the same time. Now, we will explain the comparison and similarity of two specific jobs, teaching, and acting. These jobs are so familiar to all of us but not all of us are choosing to do these jobs, as both of them require effort and passion to do it.

First, What is the Teaching Job?

Teaching is an occupation and a platform to show the idea of how someone teaches a student. It is a job where a teacher is sharing knowledge and experience. Teaching is also a powerful tool to teach the kids about the things that they don't even know which they need to know. Teachers are those people who are willingly teaching the children with full of love and compassion. They are not only teaching knowledge but they also nurture and teaching the children about good manners and discipline. It’s an achievement for them to see that their students are growing in knowledge and in good manners. People are also calling them as the second parent of the children because they have the heart to nurture and mold them in the same way that parents are also doing. In school, they are the temporary guardian of all the students. They are the ones whom the parents can be trusted in terms of partnering them in disciplining their child. Teachers love to help children to become a good person and life long learners. Their job is not also easy, because they are acting as a real parent of all the children in school. They are treating all their students as a family. Many people are also giving respect to them. They are not only trustworthy but they are a person whom you will respect and salute.

Next, What is an Acting Job?

Acting is an art or a platform where the actors and actress are performing their roles. The main responsibility or job of an actor is to show or play a given role and communicate to their audience by his acting. The actors' reactions, actions, and the tone of voice are very important in their job in delivering the message of their play or films. Acting job is an art where the actors are telling the stories by showing their emotional or facial reactions in front of their audience and by this they are engaging them to the story of their play or film. Part of their duty is to pretend to be somebody else and they should make their audience feel and believe that the character that they are playing is real. There are some actors on the television and some are acting in the theater. Even those actors are playing many roles but still, they have one goal to achieve it is to make the audience satisfied with what they've watched.

What is the Similarity Between These Two Jobs?

Acting and teaching jobs both need an audience, actors and teachers should both know how to engage them in what there are teaching and playing. Both jobs require voice, emotions, and the ability to do a certain task. Both of them are playing a role that their audience can relate to and be engaged in. Acting and teaching are both platforms that they can show their ability and talent to do their respective job. Teachers and actors are those people who make their arts interesting and attractive to the people in front of them. Meaning, both of them are addressing the message to their audience. So, teaching and acting have similarities on the other part of their job.

And What Are the Differences?

We all know that these two jobs are not totally connected to each other. They have their own differences. Teachers are focused on the growth of their students and in contrast to the acting job, actors are only focused on how they will engage and satisfy their audience. Although both are required heart and use of humor, they are still different. They are both studying, learning, and memorizing their scripts. Teachers are always spending a long time preparing her class lesson while the actors are spending their time preparing some props and memorizing their lines.

Both professions are great. While the actors are taking training and workshop or classes to become a better actor, the teachers are also taking some professional educational training to develop her skill in teaching.

It is obvious to see the differences between these two jobs or careers. They are both have different standards. In acting and teaching, there are some certain topics that they can both show and teach but there are some things that inappropriate for the teacher to show it in a class but appropriate to show in the play or film like green jokes, bad words, seducing pictures or body language and etc. Meaning, teaching is sensitive to some things that can affect the growth of their student as their audience, while acting is very open to express anything that can help their play, role, or films for them to be more connected to their audience. Teaching has more limitations in some aspects than acting. Although teaching also expresses freedom to teach many things that their student need to know teachers are much more focused on how the children will learn good manners and conduct than to know more knowledge.

Even there are more similarities than differences, we can say that acting is like teaching and teaching is like acting. In teaching, a conversation is always needed, and also in acting it is always required. No matter which job we prefer to choose, still both jobs or professions are very good and can help people to learn and be engaged in a certain art. Those people who are doing two or three jobs at the same time are so flexible and determined in life. We should salute those kinds of people who work hard for the sake of their families.
