The Process Of Cutting

The process of cutting refers to the process which includes losing a good amount of pounds weeks before the fight to adjust weight to the correct amount for the competition. Many fighters tend to starve themselves to lose weight as much as possible. But this has a large possibility to leave the fighter weak and this impacts the fighter on the fight day. During the week or two previous week, fighters should still keep sticking with the multiple meal routine per day. The meals that consist of protein and vegetables but decrease the serving size and they should drink more and more water.

There are fighters like Mac Danzig, who has a weight of 166 pounds and he consumes about 2,200 calories per day in the two weeks before a fight. Having a drink as a replacement for the drink in the morning is a good choice. Having an energy bar at lunch is also a good way to go. The snack should consist of yoghurt, fruits and low carb chips like tortilla chips. The dinner should have food options like broth-based soup and fruit and tofu instead of the regular meal that you had before. This enables a person to lose enough weight and also not lose strength to train.

Supplements' Intake

An MMA/UFC fighter’s diet has mainstays which are protein supplements. The fighters who exercise at a higher rate in both strength and endurance require more and more protein to supply the support to their body for the strength to keep on practising. The International Society of Sports Nutrition (TISSN) states that every athlete requires almost 0.7-0.9 grams of protein for every pound of body weight that they hold. For the support recovery, consuming protein after every workout session is very crucial. The extra protein provides enough support for the body to withstand the intense workout routine.

A person should think fast, act fast and also have the strength and fitness inside them to execute various sets of fighting moves which would help them defend themselves in the fights that they would participate in. What is even more important for them is the fuel that gives them the strength to both practice and also fights. The fuel to a human who fights like a beast is a proper food diet.

The proper meal plan is what helps a person build themselves up both internally and externally. The capabilities to train and improve their body and also to execute the skills they have learned at the fighting day, the proper eating routine is necessary.
