Cosmetology Programs in High Schools

Cosmetology is an industry that provides beauty services, they are trained to provide hair, skin and nails services. This pathway provides so many services and is a good industry to work in well if you enjoy it. There are so many cosmetology schools that provide many skills but to find one that is going to give all the skills and learning you need when you get out there in the real-life world. Now is really comment that high schools provide the cosmetology program but does really giving you all the skills and learning as if you were in an actual c. My propose to solve this problem is to improve the lessons and to improve the way they teach their skills.

The problem that this industry faces is that many of the students that go to a cosmetology school are not getting the learning they supposed to get when they graduate. “Improve your program, improve your school to learn helpful education marketing strategies” (Gregg Meiklejohn). What brought this problem to my attention is that that I have attendant Dubiski Career High School in the cosmetology pathway. In these 4 years in this pathway I haven’t learned most of the skills that cosmetology has to provide for me to work in a real salon. Not everything is bad I have learned many communication skills in this industry the correct way to treat a client and properly provide a service. What I’m trying to say is that the skills I’m talking about are that we really don’t have may experience in doing the services. Therefore, the people that are affected are the students that come into this pathway with so much enthusiasm just like this article says. “If you’re in high school and your dream is to be a cosmetologist (or you know someone who does) check out these helpful classes to take before you graduate high school that will prepare you for success in beauty school “(ogle school).

The solution that I have that has to involve the problem that most of the high school been having is that we can upgrade the cosmetology program in so many ways.” Learn to improve your program offering, and how those improvements can have a direct and immediate positive impact on your marketing, admissions, compliance and placement efforts…and of course on your bottom line (Gregg Meiklejohn)”. The solution I have is just like the article said is that to improve the lessons in a better way for the students to understand and get more knowledge from the lessons. Where they can get more hands on what I’m trying to say with that is where they get to learn more of the real life in a solon experience. “We are prepared professionally to actually go out there. We have requirements. We can't be on our phones in class, we have to dress up like we have to go to work,” said Martinez (Bridget Spencer, FOX 7 Austin).In my opinion, if the program would try to be like every time the students would go to the cosmetology class they would treat it like if they are going into work. This would not affect anyone is giving the students the best opportunities to be in a good program where they would learn new things. Just like the girl for the news said I don't know where I would be today. It's very emotional. If I hadn't had that opportunity, in all honesty, I don't know where I'd be. Not all these kids have the resources to be able to go to college and a lot of them graduate and their hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt and it's not fair,” said Carson” (Bridget Spencer, FOX 7 Austin). If this school has done this to make the students feel like this pathway has an impact in their life I think is a really good way to improve the cosmetology pathway and many high schools.

Some of the skills I have learned is they good communication skills. Which is an important thing to have if you really want to be in this pathway or any type of job? The correct way to talk to a client and the way you suppose to treat them in the time your providing the service. Some of the skills that have to do with the problem are that most of the time the program only goes by the lessons only a few times and they don’t give the students time to get used to it or they just trying to rush in getting the lesson over with. “You learn even more skills than these five in beauty school. You’ll master not only the skills but your own mind and attitude while at school. (“top 5 skills…”). This is an important one because if the students put their mind and effort into the cosmetology carrier they are going take an opportunity on everting the school provides in the program, in other words, the students also have to put a part of them to make the high school program better.

Are the cosmetology programs being helpful in high school? There is always a solution for, in this case, yes there are helpful to have this type of pathways in a high school. But way well the thing is that they are basically helping the students to get proper for the real life when they graduate in the work environment. In this case, the students that are in the cosmetology pathway they are going to graduate with their license ready to work in a salon. Therefore all the students that take the cosmetology program in high school don’t take for graduate and think in the future after you graduate high school.
