Mental illness in the workplace is one of the issues that affect the business and employees job performance and productivity of organization. Nearly, 264 million people are suffering from depression. There are many ways to overcome mental health in the workplace. Employers can promote the awareness between the employees by introduce several programs to manage mental health that meet their needs and interests. Secondly, social support networks like family members, friends and office colleagues is important to help those who are suffering from mental illness by giving some support and attention between them. Next, we must respect those who are suffering mental illness by give encourage and attention to them. Stop insulting them by calling them crazy people, instead help them getting counseling or psychiatric treatment. These are a few types of mental illness that cause of economic loss and national levels due to direct and indirect health costs, absenteeism, loss productivity and decreased income such as anxiety, panic attack and schizoaffective disorder.

Anxiety is a normal response to everyday stress. It is a normal emotion that everyone goes through at a certain points in their lives. Many people feel anxious or nervous when facing problems in their life such as going for job interview or facing an examination. There are many symptoms of anxiety such as sweating, pounding heart, headaches, stomach upset, dizziness and feeling worry a lot. People tend to be anxious because of an overly demanding schedule, lack of exercise or sleep, pressure at home or work, or even from too much caffeine. If your lifestyle is unhealthy and stressful, you are more likely to feel anxious. There are many tips that we can apply to overcome anxiety. Firstly, we have to manage our stress. Do something that you like when you are in a stress condition, for example you can go to the spa or maybe listening to the music. Then, you can practice relaxation techniques. Regularly relaxation techniques such as mindfulness meditation and deep breathing can reduce anxiety symptoms and increase feelings of relaxation and emotional well-being. However, anxiety is actually not a bad thing because it can help us to stay alert and focused and it also can motivate us to solve problems.

A panic attack is an intense wave of fear characterized by its unexpected and debilitating, immobilizing intensity. Panic attacks often without any warning and sometimes with no clear. They may occur when you are relaxed or asleep. Panic attack also may be one-time occurrence or may be repeated. Panic attacks also may occur as part of another disorder such as panic disorder, social phobia or depression. Panic attack sign and symptoms are when you have shortness of breath, when you are sweating, when your chest pain or tight and you fear of dying, losing control or going crazy. The causes of panic attack are when you have overactive thyroid gland, low blood sugar and stimulant cocaine and caffeine. There a few ways to prevent panic attack. First is self-help, you must exercise regularly, get enough restful sleep, and avoid smoking, alcohol caffeine and others. Next you need a treatment which is you yourself need to exposure the therapy of panic disorder. Last but not least, you need to take medication and get further advice from your psychiatrist.

Lastly we will talk about schizoaffective disorder; this is one of the types of chronic mental health problem. According to the American Psychological Association's (APA) Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), schizoaffective disorder encompasses many of the diagnostic features of schizophrenia with a mood component. Schizoaffective disorder can be describe as intermediate between schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, and it may not be a separate diagnostic entity and it is also may include bipolar symptoms, such as mania or depression, as well as features of schizophrenia, including hallucinations and delusions. Symptoms can also include erratic speech or behaviour and a lack of emotional expression and motivation. These are some of the symptoms that they might have such a delusions, confused, unclear thinking, unusual thought, paranoid ideas, period of depression, uncontrollable temper, sleep disturbances and difficulties and many more. This disorder may cause by the genetic component but even the scientists do not know what the exact causes of this schizoaffective disorder are. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a person may be at an increased risk of developing schizoaffective disorder if a first-degree relative, such as a parent, sibling, or child, has it and a person's risk may also increase if a first-degree relative has schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or another mental health condition. Some studies have suggested that children born to men who are in their late 30s and 40s at the time of conception may have a higher risk of developing a schizophrenia- spectrum disorder. To diagnose this disorder is through clinical assessment ,person's self-reported experiences, as well as descriptions of unusual or uncharacteristic behaviour reported by family members, friends, and colleagues conduct by the medical professional but before their diagnose someone have this disorder the doctor will conduct the general medical check-up because the symptom that the patient have might be causes by the other things such as temporal lobe epilepsy, thyroid problems, alcohol or drug disorder and any others. This disorder can be treating by combinations of medications such as antipsychotics, antidepressants, or mood stabilizers, and psychological interventions, such as counselling.

We can conclude that this mental illness is a very serious illness that everyone must be aware about it. If you have this kind of symptoms, immediately seek help from the medical professional such a psychiatric and taking steps to control stress, increase your resilience and to boost low self-esteem may help keep your symptoms under control. Mental illness should not be something to be ashamed about or thought differently. These are the things that you can do to prevent the mental illness such as pay attention to warning signs work with your doctor or therapist to learn what might trigger your symptoms. Plan so that you know what to do if symptoms return. Contact your doctor or therapist if you notice any changes in symptoms or how you feel. Consider involving family members or friends to watch for warning signs. Next, get routine medical care and do not skip the medical check-ups or skip visits to your primary care provider, especially if you aren't feeling well. You may have a new health problem that needs to be treated, or you may be experiencing side effects of medication. Next, get help when you need it, mental health conditions can be harder to treat if you wait until symptoms get bad and lastly, take good care of yourself such as have a enough sleep, healthy eating and regular physical activity are important. Try to maintain a regular schedule. Talk to your primary care provider if you have trouble sleeping or if you have questions about diet and physical activity. When mental illness is treated equally to other illness, more people will have the courage to seek help and have a better life.
